Summat[edit]
Summat should be said about 'current events' 82.44.143.26 (talk) 17:49, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- How's that? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 19:30, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Managing to annoy people with an apology. 82.44.143.26 (talk) 15:44, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
i miss John Paul II[edit]
that was a good pope.............Waronstupidity (talk) 19:58, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, he's one of the nicer guys to have led a paedophile ring that kills Africans for no good reason. He was better than Benny, but he was still a proper bastard. --ConcernedResident kerfuffle for the ladies 19:19, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Pope-gate[edit]
Should the 'blue sky thinkers' at the Foreign Office with their list for Benedict's visit be given honorary membership of RW?82.198.250.69 (talk) 17:56, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- An interesting proposal, but there is no mechanism to do such a thing.--BobSpring is sprung! 19:12, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Antipope?[edit]
Would the mirror-image pope be Maledict XVI? (If anyone can incorporate the term into the text, do so).
82.198.250.69 (talk) 17:15, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- You know, considering what a scumbag Benedict is, I think I'd like to meet that guy... EVDebs (talk) 16:23, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Would probably be Papess Maledicta XVI; supporting the role of women in the church (given that women played a significant role in the early church, including finance etc), being cooperative with other faiths (on the basis of http://bible.cc/john/14-2.htm) and otherwise make the world a better place. 212.85.6.26 (talk) 16:14, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Malachy's prediction[edit]
Does seem to be valid - Bendy seems to be doing more to damage the Catholic hierarchy than a legion of Bowler-Hatted Ones (aka Orangemen), Richard Dawkins and suchlike combined.
Anti female involvement in religious activities, anti suppressing child abuse, being an ex-Nazi and having a public mass on Yom Kippur... what else can he do? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 18:07, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- What else? He can cost us (UK taxpayers) 12 million. EFFIN! EFFIN! EFFIN! (words fail me!) 18:37, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry that I'm not able to help Susan, Chris Patten made me choke on my dinner this evening listening to him defend the visit on Radio 4's PM. Lily Inspirate me. 19:10, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Benedict and Palpatine[edit]
WP vandalism has Bendy's image replaced with Emperor Palpatine's.
Can this be incorporated here 'somehow.'— Unsigned, by: 212.85.6.26 / talk / contribs

Mel Gibson's dad[edit]
... according to 'some newspaper' thinks Bendy is gay. Any comments?— Unsigned, by: 82.44.143.26 / talk / contribs
- Uh... why would anyone care what Mel Gibson's dad thinks? Blue (pester) 17:05, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Examples of irrationality? — Unsigned, by: 82.44.143.26 / talk / contribs
- Like how Justin Timberlake's mom thinks Fidel Castro is a space alien? Oh wait, actually that's irrelevant. WeaseloidMethinks it is a Weasel 17:17, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Benedict XVI speaking English[edit]

A rose ...[edit]
... would smell as sweet by any other name.
What will the pope be known as when he retires - Benedict or JR? 18:00, 11 February 2013 (UTC)— Unsigned, by: 171.33.222.26 / talk / contribs
What is the 'group name' for Popes? (From [1] there could be several of them extant) 171.33.222.26 (talk) 19:06, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- A "schism," I believe it would be called. Peter mqzp 22:48, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- He keeps the name, loses most of the swag. Just like New York City; Just like Jericho. 19:04, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Cardinal question[edit]
... What would happen if 'all the cardinals' were forced to resign on various grounds? Or the Papal conclave were hit by another lightning strike by Malachy/badly aimed lump of space rock? 171.33.222.26 (talk) 17:53, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
Eggs benedict and ex-Benedict[edit]
As the joke has been made somewhere else, worth a mention - and according to Wikipedia (Fount of all truthfulness) there may be a connection with Benedict XIII (during whose pontificate there were financial scandals). 171.33.197.73 (talk) 16:57, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Benedict's resignation[edit]
...according to him ('God told me to do so') is an actual example of Goddidit. 171.33.197.73 (talk) 16:08, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Pseudohistory promoter(?)[edit]
I was just wondering why Der Panzerpabst has received the pseudohistory promoter tag? Is it supposed to be due to his general doctrinaire Catholicism (presumably supporting the historically dubious elements of the Bible?) or does it relate to the section on blaming Nazism solely on the Völkisch movement? I think it ought to be a bit clearer in the article, which kind(s) of pseudohistory he promoted/promotes. ScepticWombat (talk) 06:14, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- @ScepticWombat To answer your question, this edit summary was written by the same BoN who added that category: Benedict's blaming of Nazism on neo-paganism and whitewashing the Christian anti-Semitic influence in Germany should land Benedict in the Historical revisionists category too. CowHouse (talk) 14:49, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- @CowHouse Well, in that case, I’d consider removing the tag. It’s an extremely broad interpretation of pseudohistory to say that this kind of self-prettying, selective “spin” amounts to promotion of pseudohistory and I really don’t think this merits the tag - especially considering the kind of RW entries in this category (e.g. Lost Causers, Holocaust deniers, ancient astronauts cranks, YEC’ers, alternate historical chronologists). ScepticWombat (talk) 21:27, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- @ScepticWombat I agree. Feel free to remove it. CowHouse (talk) 06:24, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
