Why is there an article? I move for deletion on the grounds that this is off-mission, and even if the topic were somehow on-mission, the article as it stands is off-mission.--"Shut up, Brx." 02:29, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

I agree, we don't really need an article on a movie that happens to include God. Sam Tally-ho! 04:11, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
The blasphemy charges are relevant though...that's why we have an article on Life of Brian. Osaka Sun (talk) 04:14, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
I don't see some muslim countries banning it on grounds of Blasphemy warranting an entire article, especially when that section makes up the smallest portion of the article. --Mikal Harass Follow 04:50, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Could we make an article generally about movies that have been banned/boycotted/criticized somewhere for blasphemy?--Logic and Empricism (talk) 05:18, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
I think that would be a better idea. Sam Tally-ho! 05:20, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
What Sam said. --Mikal Harass Follow 05:21, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
Or just add a "In popular culture" section to Blasphemy. --Seth Peck (talk) 18:22, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
I also agree that there should probably be an article about media censured for blasphemy, but this particular article should be deleted. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 18:46, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Mark Twain[edit]

One thing that always gets overlooked about this movie is the reference to Mark Twain -A Buffalo resident, and a cheap gag to see Carrey in a silly outfit, but Twain's short story "The War Prayer" is a lesson about the unintended consequences of prayer. --TheLateGatsby (talk) 18:19, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
