Talk:Coverup
Turkey and the Armenian genocide[edit]
I noticed that China denying that the Tiananmen Square Massacre is a thing that happened is listed as a political cover-up. Would Turkey's repeated refusal to acknowledge the Armenian genocide also count as a cover-up, or is there some nuance I'm unaware of that would classify it as simple willful ignorance? --Luigifan18 (talk) 14:40, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- It's a reasonable addition. It's only slightly different in that the genocide happened during the Ottoman Empire, but Turkey is the official successor country to that empire. Bongolian (talk) 17:45, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- We have to be choosy about what to include in our list of examples, but I do think the Armenian genocide denial fits here, and it has benefit of being something out of the United States (our wiki has an unfortunate Americentric bias, so much for RATIONALWiki or something). --It's-a me,
