And by teh way, there is no such thing as "ectopic pregnancies", according to some senators, because "no abortions are ever necessary to save the life of a woman". heh. i'm being bratty! --Green mowse.pngGodotCalibrated! let the voting begin! 19:34, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Didn't one say that medical advancements mean that Ectopic pregnancy can be carried to term with no problems now? I wonder if they really believe that, or just saying that to score points with the Religious Right. --Revolverman (talk) 19:44, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Mission[edit]

No pages link to this one and it's barely related to the mission. Any reasons why it can't be replaced by a link to Wikipedia? (If it's ever used anywhere.) --ZooGuard (talk) 19:45, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Debunking something lawmakers have been using to outlaw abortion seems fairly on mission to me. --Revolverman (talk) 19:45, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Ectopic pregnancy is only one of the possible medical reasons for an abortion. I suggest consolidating them in a single article or article section, instead of scattering unlinked articles. Especially if nobody bothers to link to these articles from other ones.--ZooGuard (talk) 19:53, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Well, I just wrote it today, and haven't found all the places where it can link to it yet. -- Seth Peck (talk) 19:57, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Well, there are a number of ways pregnancy can kill you, but ectopic pregnancy is the big glaring one GOP jackasses are embarrassingly ignorant of when they say there's no reason an abortion might be necessary to save a mother's life (and in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, the unborn culprit would die with the mother anyways).--"Shut up, Brx." 20:07, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Additionally, abortion is the only treatment for this condition, even if the pregnancy was intended and wanted. I've added links in other pages where ectopic pregnancy was mentioned prior to this article's creation. -- Seth Peck (talk) 20:16, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Pretty clearly on-mission IMO - David Gerard (talk) 08:01, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Just need to ensure the mission part is given greater emphasis. Redchuck.gif ГенгисOur ignorance is God; what we know is science.Moderator 11:11, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Dr. James Patrick Johnston from that Jezebel article[edit]

He's not just a delusional doctor that makes really dangerous claims about ecotopic pregnancies, he's a crazy wingnut quack with a persecution complex that opened a clinic that is "herbal-friendly", "pro-homeschooling", and is sympathetic to anti-vaxxers. He also wrote crazy speculative books on how "preachers and pro-life activists are hunted like terrorists, forced into re-education classes, and persecuted" by an army of "young anarchists and Marxists" led by a liberal college professor. His wife is a fervent homophobe. My point is that he needs an article, and not even Encyclopedia of American Loons have went over him. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 21:05, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
