Disregard nobs[edit]

Here's the real stats on Swedish ISIS travellers. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 18:35, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Oh, and those Swedes are so proud "it is not a homogenous group but rather a multi-ethnic one." As Jamie Ruben said to Hillary Clinton when she created ISIS, "Congratulations are in order. Well done." nobs 00:03, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
You are taking that email out of context. Did you actually read it? Do you know who the Transitional National Council was? Bongolian (talk) 00:18, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
There were two Presidential Finding's authorizing covert action to train and equip jihadis, one in March of 2011, the second in early 2012. But they were two components of the same strategy: to first aid in the overthrow of Gaddafi, the second to transport weapons to the same jihadis from Libya to Syria. Under both Findings, the jihadist groups were Al Qaeda, the LIFG, and Ansar Al Shariah. All three evolved into the Islamic State, and Vilyet Al Barqa centered around Benghazi & Derna. It was a coordinated strategy from the gitgo. nobs 00:25, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
And the "Transitional National Council" that you cited in the unclassified email relates to this how? Bongolian (talk) 01:40, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
The TNC was organized and funded by French intelligence. It used Gaddafi ex-Justice Minister (the guy who threw all the jihadis in jail, and through torture and brainwashing, in cooperation with the CIA, selected jihadi leaders for release to lead the LIGF and other groups) and the brother of Ayman al-Zawahiri, leader of Al Qaeda, who was just released from an Egyptian prison by Morsi, as its founders. nobs 05:21, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

Why can't we just name this article "ISIS? "[edit]

'Cause these orkz get pissed off when we say Da'esh. Maim!Kill!Burn! (talk) 19:11, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
daesh apparently pisses them off when you call em this. quite why we do that for this group of arseholes and not say, al qaeda or the ira, beats me AMassiveGay (talk) 19:37, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
david cameron, noted dick stain and former british pm, once berated the bbc for referring them to isis - 'you didnt even say so called' his words. apparently this is the same as supporting terrorists. AMassiveGay (talk) 19:40, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

Silver[edit]

Well, I think it's a silver? Thoughts? CorruptUser 19:19, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Seems reasonable. Bongolian (talk) 20:10, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
I agree. Christopher (talk) 20:12, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Upgraded. Can always downgrade if anyone wants to have a bit of fisticuffs. CorruptUser 20:17, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

question[edit]

Mozambique and Afghanistan[edit]

DAESH no longer really controls territory in Iraq and Syria (although it's bullshit that they're gone), but they're going strong in Mozambique and Afghanistan. This article is out of date. Carthage (talk) 10:09, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
