Talk:Proposals for new US states
Mentioning Texas[edit]
Well why is Texas never mentioned? How come they get to be the Lone Star UBER state and no one says they should be cut up?? Oh, riiigghttt, cause they are already conservative, so cutting them up doesn't help!--Godot 19:05, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm, might you not then end up with two (or three) conservative states instead of just the one? But you're correct. It does seem that the right always want to remove themselves from the status quo if they they are in the minority but never the other way round. You never heard teach the controversy when religion dominated science, but then again maybe I'm just suffering from confirmation bias. Ignorantwiki[edit]
"But I thought this was supposed to be RATIONALWiki!" Drink! |

I noticed you lefties were comparing small government and sucessionist movements to Hitler on the Oregon page. Because the Nazis were so into small government and were very much against state coercion right? More like ignorantwiki. — Unsigned, by: 173.22.37.6 / talk / contribs

Rename/restructure[edit]
Should this be renamed to reflect a refocusing on all plans to split California, or all plans to rearrange the internal partitions of the USA? Jefferson is probably the longest-lasting and best-documented perennial, but there's a lot on other proposals, and it neatly complements Secession which is about independent nations not US states. I've no idea on a new title though. Secession within the US? Proposals for new US states? Multi-California? --Annanoon (talk) 10:46, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
