Revert[edit]

Why did you revert the edit on the page Commie? --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 13:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

@CorrectTheRecord™ your edits were of poor quality, please check the POV page for more information on what a RationalWiki article should be. GrammarCommie (talk) 14:05, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Oh, no wonder nobody takes this site seriously. --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 18:44, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
According to Ryan he has African American ancestry, a mild form of autism and he is a homosexual. He also claims to be a former Marxist. I am surprised this guy converted to the alt right and now publishes racist articles. He is obviously a confused and disturbed individual. Anti-Fascist for life (talk) 15:36, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
That's my point, he's not Alt-Right (or at minimum not a "hard" altrighter). He even says so in his most recent video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4xQoF-NyAQ , 11:50. I've been through a fair bit of his catalog, and it corresponds to what the Alternative Hypothesis about page http://thealternativehypothesis.org/index.php/about-the-alternative-hypothesis/ says in regards to the "racist garbage" section. Did we watch the same video? He brought up several salient points as to his views on race, why he has them, and the logic behind it. Relevant part start at 16:40. Why does no one on this site seem to want to actually entertain ideas of their opposition, despite the title being Rational Wiki. It seems like a massive echochamber in all honesty. And why would any of those three things make him disturbed? --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 17:42, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
"But I thought this was supposed to be RATIONALWiki!" Drink! Spriggina (sgwrs) (cyfraniadau) @ 17:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Making a joke about the fact your site does not live up to it's name, does not excuse your site for not living up to its name, why the hell should anyone trust what's written here if Wikipedia is more credible than it. Is this site purely for shitposting? --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 18:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
101.189.55.210 he clearly entertains very racist ideas. He be believes different races have different sized brains. [1] Anti-Fascist for life (talk) 18:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Because they do differ in Brain size, he even gives the evidence for that claim in the article you linked. --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 05:09, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
There's far too much heterogeneity in each putative "race" for this to make any sense. Look at the data in the Beals et al. 1984 study. I presume since you are a racialist you consider there an "Amerindian race", yet if you look at cranial capacities for different indigenous tribes across the Americas, you will find huge variation in average cranial capacity. Now what?Dr. Witt (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Racialist What, that races exist and have differences? Yes. Here's his argument for the "Variation within and between" http://thealternativehypothesis.org/index.php/2016/04/15/variation-within-and-between-races/ , tell me if you find anything objectionable, because I haven't. Why do I get the impression that everyone who goes "Oh yeah [Race] exists" is either confused or lying according to this website? --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 06:02, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
That article just repeats the same fallacies. There are no subspecies with average low Fst values. For example, Redwinged blackbirds do not have a mean Fst value of 1%; that figure is for populations within the same subspecies. The alt-right idiot who quote-mined this, never read the paper properly. We have another neo-Nazi who used quoted this - without reading the source properly over on the racialism talk. "Races" in the sense of subspecies don't exist. However, it depends how you define race; the problem is with all the re-definitions. Dr. Witt (talk) 16:53, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Most RationalWiki articles don't debunk an individual's talking points on that individual's page – their points are part of a larger theory, which is then debunked on that larger theory page. In this case, it does not make sense to believe that head sizes are widely variable by "race" for genetic reasons, because [1] intra-"race" genetic variation is very high and [2] socioeconomic factors would be very difficult to control for in these studies. Herr FüzzyCätPötätö (talk/stalk) 21:28, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

So what, I need to edit the larger theory itself first? Oh no, that would break the hugbox. See the reply to Witt --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 06:02, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Ryan Faulk's website is co-written by a Neo-nazi and holocaust denier[edit]

The articles on Faulk's website "The Alternative Hypothesis" are co-written by Sean Last from the Neo-Nazi The Right Stuff. About 1-2 years back, Sean wrote a reply to RationalWiki on another website, as well as The Right Stuff itself, about RW's article on racialism and had an argument about race with two RationalWiki sysops. That ended up with some Neo-Nazis then impersonating the sysops at the Right Stuff in the comment section i.e. posting comments as their pseudonyms like "I support white genocide!" etc., to troll them. Anyway, when there was a serious debate: Sean was refuted point by point. The problem though is like creationists, racialists are "true believers": they aren't ever going to give up their support for this pseudo-science. Dr. Witt (talk) 18:34, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Could you post the actual reply and the debate, I have serious doubts as to anything anyone claims on this site the more I read. --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 05:43, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
Krom's reply to Sean:
https://blog.therightstuff.biz/2015/05/23/a-reply-to-sean-last-from-krom/ Dr. Witt (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
The problem is he then got trolled/impersonated by idiots in the comment section; the same Nazi doing that who showed up in the comments still does it on this website, see here.Dr. Witt (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
But the very first contention he made is in dispute. --CorrectTheRecord™ (talk) 06:02, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

I notice how the debate is no longer on the Internet, and when I look at older versions of Sean's article, I find evidence of Sean actually winning this debate but RW not admitting who he won against. Only until the debate was no longer available do I see that "Sean lost". However, when I talked to Sean, he actually showed me the debate and no one would argue that Krom (Oliver D. Smith impersonating someone on Metapedia) won this debate. Alden's Number Kid (talk) 02:12, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
