Libertarian moonbattery & wingnuttery?[edit]

How exactly can VG be both a moonbat and a wingnut simultaneously? Is he a moonbat because of his veganism and vasectomy, and a wingnut for his reasons for getting a vasectomy and for his pro-gun stances? --Ambition of Truth (talk) 21:46, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Seems like the moonbat one is a miscat. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 22:33, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Original research added[edit]

DietResearcher who has since left RationalWiki has emailed me about a mistake on this article. In February 2023, DietResearcher added some reliable content to this article [1] about Vegan Gain's views on killing carnivorous animals. For some reason CircularReasoning started tampering around with this information in December.

This content was added by DietResearcher:

"In April 2021, Burgess argued that he thinks killing carnivorous animals is a good idea and ideally all carnivorous animals need to be wiped out so other animals are not preyed upon. In response to this, That Vegan Teacher asked Burgess does that mean he believes "all the wolves, all the lions and all the predators should be killed". He replied "yeah" and stated his belief that in "most ecosystems most predatory species don't actually do much of anything to control prey populations".

CircularReasoning for some reason removed Burgess's reply "yeah" and added "He doubled down". This is incorrect and is not found in the discussion link. CircularReasoning has also invented some other words that are not found in the discussion link. Another minor point but what DietResearcher added about "contraceptive guns" is accurate to what Vegan Gains said. They do use contraceptives in the wild such as bait or intramuscular injection (administered manually or remotely). In regard to the latter this would be performed by a dart gun injection (syringe gun). CircularReasoning changed the line to "contraceptives and guns" which is inaccurate. Burgess only suggested contraceptive guns. Johns (talk) 02:12, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
