2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Talk radio is a form of entertainment that consists of people talking on a radio station. Most are broadcast live to add to the excitement. Sometimes the hosts take telephone calls from listeners. Often, most of the entertainment consists of hosts and callers yelling past at each other.

There are many subjects addressed on talk radio — from sports to alternative medicine to real estate, and, of course, politics. There is even a science talk radio show hosted by Professor Michio Kaku ("Science Fantastic").

There are many categories of presenter - from the respectable and respected to the in-a-flap and shock jocks.
