Welcome! Now get to work, Habibi Kebab. User:PalMD
Don't forget to submit a writing plan, earn some trust, and write a book! Oh, and, Wlecome to the Dollhouse. We need to add "sheesh!" to the euphemism at Jesus Christ, btw. humanbe in 11:52, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Signature[edit]

Sheesh! - In your 'my preferences' page check the "raw signatures (without automatic link)" and add something like the following in the nickname box
<small>Babel fish</small><font color="#008888">ÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†</font><small>Now look here!</small>.
Then the four tildes will automatically be replaced by your own appalling signature. God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 09:13, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

If you care about feeding babies you'll help me. Something is screwy with my talk link?!? Exasperate me!Sheesh!I said what? 11:02, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

It's because you are posting on your talk page, the link won't work there. It should work if you post elsewhere. smokemirrors 11:03, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

A few at work that, even now1, little devs are slavishly entering reams of virtual meangless minutiae that they think is important into. Exasperate me!Sheesh! Not the most impressive contributor here 20:12, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Clogosphere[edit]

I think she was quoting another source - she'd put it in quotes. So I've commented it out. I can't get the ref up so can't check. SusanG  ContribsTalk 16:19, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Goat-Onion challange[edit]

"a free (virtual) goat for whoever can get this inserted into CP somehow."

Done. Where do I pick up my goat? I'm reluctant to put the actual CP link here, but if you read the Onion story, you can probably find it. Simple 15:16, 5 September 2008 (EDT)

Font thing[edit]

I think it's an intercom glitch. Try deleting any intercom messages at the top of the screen. If it still doesn't go back to normal, report it at RationalWiki:Technical support. ЩєазєюіδWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 20:39, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Sunday[edit]

You've earned π points for the Morrissey reference. :) --Psy - C20H25N3OYou know you want to 17:07, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

I've seen him twice in the past few years in relatively small venues. I never dreamt while I was writhing on the floor in puddles of tears listening to the Smiths that I'd actually get to see him, let alone be close enough that he would through his sweaty shirt (ew) over my head into the crowd. Good stuff live. He holds up well.
I saw the Morrissey live once. Back in his asexual period :) (LOL) Lunacy 14:27, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Too funny. I remember having serious discussions with my then girl friend about the status and import of Morrisey's celibate status. What a dope I was. There are a bunch of Smith's performance videos available on YouTube for your nostalgic if somewhat cringe inducing enjoyment.Me!Sheesh!Mine! 14:30, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
I listen to the Smiths anytime the morning after I've taken ecstasy pills. The horrible downer and the Smiths go hand in hand. He's more of a novel writer than a music writer. Lunacy 14:37, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Ringworld[edit]

Just read that recently, but I don't see how it would make a very good movie. Why do you think it would? Inasmuch as I could tell, its main attractions were the innovative concepts involved. The plot was not very exciting and the twists were fairly predictable. I do think, though, that a television series based in that world would be very interesting. Things like hereditary luck and the various races and technologies would be best showcased that way. What do you think?--Tom Moorefiat justitia 04:03, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

First in order to make a decent movie out of most books I think you have to ruthlessly cut material and recraft what is left to have a movie-like arc. I haven't read it in years and I may be conflating the plot with it's sequel, Ring World Engineers, but I think you could make a ripping good action-adventure yarn out of the stranded and then escaped plot line. You'd have carte blanche to blow the GDP of Brazil on special effects, none of which would be necessarily gratuitous. I don't think the predictability would matter. Of course, Louis Wu would win in the end. I do agree it would make a good TV series. Niven's Known Space universe has a lot going on that could be pulled in after the whole having sex with all the aliens motif was played out. Me!Sheesh!Mine! 14:12, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Your name, with regards to proper punctuation[edit]

When I write a sentence ending in your name and an exclamation point[1], am I supposed to use two exclamation points (e.g. "Blah blah blah Sheesh!!")—technically correct, but making me look excitable? Or am I to use just the one, and feel like I forgot to end the sentence (e.g. "Blah blah blah Sheesh!")? Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 22:49, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

I think one exclamation point is fine as long as you when you say my name you do so with the proper enthusiasm. I hate people who waste terminal punctuation marks or, more properly, hate it when people waste terminal punctuation marks. One is sufficient except for a single case, to express surprise and uncertainty. e.g. You fed my ice cream to the cat?!Me!Sheesh!Mine! 19:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

"Don't believe ANYTHING you read on Wikipedia"[edit]

I lol'd at this -I vandalised a page there a year ago, and it's still unchanged (someone did fix my typo in my interesting little edit). Lordy, I love that site. 86.46.247.80 (talk) 18:49, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
