Network10 (mostly known as Channel10, Network10, Net10 or even simply 10) is an Australian broadcasting company based in Melbourne, Australia. The broadcasting company was founded in the 1950s.
History[edit]
During the 1950s and the 1960s, there were only three major broadcasting networks in Australia nationally; the National Television Network (now the Nine Network), the Australian Television Network (now the Seven Network), and the public ABC National Television Service. In the early 1960s, the Australian Government got the idea to put a television station channel in each state and city. Then, a group of people started Channel10. The group originally only posted films, shows, and sports. The group was soon inspired by ABC News Australia to publish international and national news, and later started their 24/7 live cable channel. They soon began producing quality news videos, and uploaded them in their YouTube channel, Channel10AUS. They later started a new news channel in YouTube in 2019. Their news channel service is currently known as 10 News First (previously called Ten News & Ten Eyewitness News). Their news YouTube channel had 952 thousand subscribers and 727,447,139 views, while their official Channel10 YouTube channel had 125 thousand subscribers.
Programs[edit]
One of the first television program series that Channel10 launches was likely Prisoner, an Australian classical TV series for adults. The film series went viral, and boomed the television industry and the ratings, and after that, Channel10 became an independent television network, and became a reality television network in almost every Australians home.
