Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych (1950-) is a former Ukrainian politician and Putin’s stooge who was the president of Ukraine from 2010 to 2014 until his exile. Before being voted in power, he was a member of the Pro-Russian party “Party of Regions”, and acted as a puppet for Putin’s operations in Ukraine. Eventually when his corruption was exposed and the people had enough of his bullshit, he was kicked out of office during the Euromaidan protests, and fled to Russia in Putin’s arms.[1]

Political beginnings[edit]

Yanukovych was born in the village of Zhukovka in the Soviet Union, and according to his writings, he and his family and neighbors suffered greatly at the time. They were poor and starved, and had little food to eat. His mother was Russian, his father was Polish-Belarusian, and his grandparents were Lithuanian-Poles. This makes Yanukovych of Russian, Polish, and Belarusian descent, but lacks any Ukrainian ancestry.

Viktor enrolled at the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in 1974, and in 1976 he somehow became promoted to a director of a trucking division in a coal-mining company. From this time he functioned as a corporate bureaucrat for these companies. He also held various positions in transport companies up until 1996. It was from here that his political career would begin.

Yanukovych's was appointed as a Vice-Head of Donetsk Oblast Administration in 1996. In 1997, he was appointed as the Head of the Administration (basically a Governor).

Pro Russia puppet[edit]

Anti-LGBT bills[edit]

As part of the influence of Russian authorities, Yanukovych attempted to pass anti-LGBT bills painting them as “propaganda” in the Ukrainian parliament three times. Fortunately this failed.[2][3]
