Apologetics[edit]
@Spud, @Rationalzombie94: This page reads like thinly-veiled Russian/Putin apologetics: the paucity of citations, the lack of discussion on Russian involvement (troop presence, and as part of a regional destabilization campaign), and the obvious partisanship of the author. - Yeah, this page is too fundamentally broken to be worth rewriting. I support deletion. Chef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 21:53, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- What does Putin have to do with it? I have not yet even described the course of development of the armed conflict and the current political status of the region. Your claims seem absurd, I am not obliged to defend your point of view. Malorussian Man (talk) 01:36, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- But what does any of this have to do with our mission? It's also very light on references. I'm tending towards moving this article to draft space, at the very least. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 02:14, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- Furthermore, the problems with the page are thus far primarily those of omission: very few citations, no discussion of modern Russia in relation to Pridnestrovie. Given that no UN state recognizes Pridnestrovie, and the Russian irredentist activity in Ukraine and Georgia (Abkhazia, South Ossetia), leaving modern Russian activity out is a serious omission. - I agree, this definitely needs to be described. It is worth considering that I started this work only yesterday; I physically would not have had time to describe everything that was possible and correctly compose refs/sources. However, no one is stopping other users from taking part in the work. Malorussian Man (talk) 02:26, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, if this article does not fit into the mission of the encyclopedia, then it should be deleted. But in this case, most of the articles about other countries, including historical ones, that already exist here also should be deleted. Malorussian Man (talk) 02:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- I actually agree. But every article needs to be debated on its own merits by the community. Nevertheless the existence of one shit article does not in itself justify another. But if we are in agreement then no doubt you will vote for deletion on this one. Also we are not an encyclopedia.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 16:29, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
