Maharishi University of Management is a school in Fairfield, Iowa that teaches with a, "Consciousness-Based Education" philosophy [1]. They require courses on Meditation and all food in their cafeteria is "organic" and vegetarian (this is where, "Bring a lunch from home" comes into play), the school was founded by none other than Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (yes, that woo peddler).
History and accreditation[edit]
Founded as, "Maharishi International University" in the 1950s, the "school" started out in a rented office building in Santa Barbara, California. Over time the school grew and moved to Iowa with the help of financial donations from investors in the New Age community. The school held a campus in Iowa but choose to move for a bigger campus. In 1973 the school became accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and began to offer doctoral degrees in 1979; in 1995 M.I.U became the Maharishi University of Management.

Stance on the COVID-19 vaccine[edit]
Note: Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic and vaccine misinformation, this part is relevant
In a Stopped Clock moment, MUM endorses people getting the COVID vaccine, mask wearing and testing for infection. That said, their scientists "worry about possible side effects of the vaccine". Outside that, they recognize the threat the virus poses and acknowledge that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks. This has not stopped them from promoting woo for COVID treatment [2].
