  2. Per CowHouse. (ƨɛɪᴙᴛᴎoɔ) (ʞɹᴀᴛ) ɒnippiɿqƧ @ 13:01, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
  3. As it stands, the article doesn't relate to our mission at all. I suppose that some real life Nazis enjoy the novel and TV series. But so do a lot of other people. As, I've said before, not every work of fiction with Nazis in it should have an article here. As I;ve also said before, the article' is a nice little introduction to the novel and TV series for people unfamiliar with them. But this is not Nice Little Introductions Wiki. 4. Could work if it documented any controversies surrounding the show/books, but it doesn't. Delete. RoninMacbeth (talk) 19:15, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Or perhaps write some in? "There are none in the article" doesn't mean "there are none at all." Boredatwork (talk) 12:58, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Keep[edit]

  1. Well, given how we have an article on Wolfenstein another piece of fiction that relates to the Nazis and we still keep it,, I think we should keep The Man in the High Castle because of it's significance and relating to WW2.— Unsigned, by: 167.88.229.132 / talk / contribs
I disagree, the only thing missional about the book that I could see was some rampant American Exceptionalism in the premise. Comrade GC (talk) 19:55, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
its true theres not much on mission about wolfenstein. ive no problem if tnat were AFD as well. AMassiveGay (talk) 20:27, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Wolfenstein recently had the alt-right flipping out on its existence and Trump supporters were deeply offended by the "Make America Nazi-Free Again" slogan. Unlike The Man in the High Castle, it had some public backlash. But again, Super Mario Odyssey had a small bout of drama of "cultural appropriation" when Mario in a sombrero used to be in the front of the box and was moved to the back, being replaced by Mario in an inner-tube. And then, I think there was a small controversy when Tomodachi Life didn't allow same-sex character marriage. Not sure if these reach the backlash of Wolfenstein, but that kind of uncertainty alone brings the question, should we document those controversies or are they Internet drama? --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario!(Mod) 20:45, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
the wolfenstein backlash, such as it was, merits one line in a sea of trivia AMassiveGay (talk) 22:10, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Like on the other wiki, "other stuff exists" shouldn't be a compelling reason to keep a page. Likewise, "we shouldn't have an article about X because we don't have an article about Y" shouldn't be a compelling reason to delete a page either. Spud (talk) 12:42, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
  2. Nazis and their representation in the media are on-topic. The article isn't particularly exciting and could do a better job of relating it to real-world contemporary concerns, and it isn't written in that zany RW style which all the site's visitors love so much, but it's worth seeing if someone can improve it. --Gospatric (talk) 13:09, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
Oops, not sure why the numbering restarted at 1. Does it matter? --Gospatric (talk) 13:11, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
Fixed it. CowHouse (talk) 13:47, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
  3. Probably missional, needs more on odd claims about it. Try this, for instance. Boredatwork (talk) 13:04, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

I haven’t seen this show so I don’t know enough but isn’t this a textbook case of “4. Analysis and criticism of how these subjects are handled in the media.“? Christopher (talk) 19:14, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
