Name change[edit]
Never actually happened. We voted for it unanimously, I prepared the papers and circulated them to all board members for signature and then to Trent for filing, which he doesn't appear to have ever done because the Secretary of State website doesn't show any record of it. The official name of the corporation remains the same. Nutty Roux (talk) 16:10, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- @GrammarCommie @LeftyGreenMario @D @RoninMacbeth @Spud @FuzzyCatPotato @Tmtoulouse It seems appropriate that this issue be discussed by the trustees at their next meeting so that a plan for resolving the name change be made. There are many pages here and on the rationalweb.org site that refer to the new name. An honest effort should be made to close this issue. If there's anything I can do to assist in this matter, please let me know. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 16:50, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- If as it appears, Trent forgot to file the paperwork, the matter hinges on whether it's possible to find someone who knows Trent well, to get him to do it this time. Alternatively we can accept, the board can't push simple tasks, and remain in situ. This ain't made easier, by the clear fact that the main figures capable of running the board, with knowledge of the board operations, aren't even on the fucking board. Christ. - There's nothing that prevents the board from asking for assistance from others to assist in board matters. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 18:16, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- This can be pushed for if Trent is at the next board meeting. If there are complications, those can also be discussed. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 21:03, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- You literally don't need Trent for anything to do with this or anything else to do with this site or the RWF. The Secretary of State has electronic filing now. They didn't in 2013. Nutty Roux (talk) 22:27, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- In that case, I suggest schedule this for the upcoming meeting, and get it sorted. Judge Dredd (talk) 23:16, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- As has been stated anyone should be able to act on this but I can too if people want to push it. If I recall correctly this occurred during my transition from Canada to the US and during my preparation for my dissertation defense. I lot of shit didn't happen in my life at that time. If we still want to do this it can be done easy enough. {{subst:User:Tmtoulouse/sig}} 03:04, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
