So what?[edit]

So bloody what? Did he promote woo or pseudoscience? Did he discourage woo or pseudoscience? Is there any reason he should have an article here? This ain't Wikipedia, you know. Spud (talk) 06:53, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

I'll hold off calling delete on this one for now. Skimming the Wikipedia article about him, it seems he was a bit of a beardy-weirdy but seems to have been a largely harmless one. However, as this article currently stands, it doesn't really make it clear why he should be here. Spud (talk) 07:19, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

I second the "so what?" There's no apparent reason this article is here - David Gerard (talk) 10:22, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

I third it. In my foolish impressionable misspent youth I read a book or two of his, but the only thing that seems to have stuck was his remarkable ability to be dozing at the head table of a conference one minute, and the space of a heartbeat snap to attention and speak at length, with seeming relevance to the topic at hand. Fourth. Give it the broom. --Inquisitor (talk) 00:19, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
I'm pulling the plug on this one. If somebody wants to go through an AfD with it, be my guest and restore it. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 07:59, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Wait, there's a talk page for this article already? Oh, it's all old. Apparently this article was deleted last year... *walks away quietly* CorruptUser (talk) 17:42, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Still not passing the "so what?" test really, but feel free to expand it so it does - David Gerard (talk) 00:58, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
I think he merits a page. Alan Watts has had a significant impact on new age culture and rhetoric. He's not particularly bad or anything, but it's info worth having on here, should he come up. Monochroma (talk) 23:39, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
