There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. Good updates and the article is nice... uh... but now things should probably link to it as well. --Eira OMTG! The Goat be Praised. 09:53, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm going to do a stub on pH woo. --ZooGuard (talk) 09:55, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Sore throats[edit]

Fruit brandy from Eastern Europe (slivovitch etc) works just as well (and tastes much better) - but overdoing Calvados can cause certain medical problems (so I understand) 82.44.143.26 (talk) 17:11, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Higher alcohol content, yes. Pimms works well too - David Gerard (talk) 21:24, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Comparisons[edit]

Have any comparisons been made of the effectiveness of different kinds of vinegar?

Some vinegar is very good for cleaning metal etc (especially in combination with other domestically available chemicals). 86.146.100.113 (talk) 22:25, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Hair/Scalp uses?[edit]

I use as a hair rinse (diluted to 1 part vinegar to 1 part water) instead of commercial conditioners. I have oily hair/scalp; using cider vinegar after shampooing seems to keep my scalp less oily, and reduces itching. I realize this is anecdotal, but I can't find any research to either debunk or back this up. Anyone else have possible science info? Zenfrodo (talk) 23:01, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
