Citing[edit]

It is official. I have no idea how to cite resources in wikis. ClickerClock (talk) 11:29, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

have a look at the article now and you should see the basic ref citing markup. --TheroadtoWiganPier (talk) 11:58, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. ClickerClock (talk) 12:18, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Ok.[edit]

People better at intercepting studies should check out the systematic reviews I referenced. Maybe you will find better evidence? ClickerClock (talk) 07:26, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

The first sentence[edit]

... needs rewriting as slightly ambiguous - 'beneficial in removing harmful behaviors like ... positive reinforcement...' ('creative misinterpretation'). 31.51.113.245 (talk) 12:39, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

So edit it then! This wiki is collaborative and it's quicker to fix things than to point out the mistakes. Doxys Midnight Runner (talk) 12:42, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Unfamiliar with the topic (and what connection it has with the word for 'father' in certain languages, or 3/4 of a Swedish pop group). 31.51.113.245 (talk) 12:45, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Made an attempt to clear it up. SmartFeller (talk) 13:05, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

NLP?[edit]

Is NLP any better for people on the spectrum than a placebo? SmartFeller (talk) 13:05, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Guess I had an inverse stopped clock moment. Well no one is perfect. ClickerClock (talk) 10:44, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Title?[edit]

I'd think applied behavior analysis was a better name. Anyone disagree? - David Gerard (talk) 19:13, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

Article Needs to be Mostly Rewritten[edit]

Much of this article is woefully inaccurate and either cites blogs, an article on aversion therapy in China, or leaves out citation all together. - TurkeyLettuceWrap

It's a wiki so why don't you do it? Everyone is free to contribute. ClickerClock (talk) 06:43, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Thought[edit]

This article makes me exceptionally angry. The human pond-scum who make kids go through this deserve to rot in a fire, imo. Fucking conformists. Certainly if my parents tried to make *me* go through this (I'm autistic), I would not be happy, to put it lightly. ⏣sapient_cogbag⏣ talk 03:54, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

@Sapient cogbag My dad, being the abusive sack of shit he was, forced me to go through this. I eventually become a submissive literal robot, any deviation from his strict rule was swiftly punished, and the punishments were draconian. Imagine having to write lines saying "I will not do [x]" for several hours, and then be told to "do it again." It once got so bad my stepmother had to intervene, and she was a right and proper bitch herself. It was torture, and we were treated like slaves. I once was forced to stand in a corner and hold a bottle of water above my head, it doesn't sound so bad until you realize I was forced to do this for an hour and was not allowed to relieve my fatiguing arms, also imagine being mocked and laughed at while doing this too for being "weak." I have complex PTSD from this and other things, I remember thinking that it would never end. Oxyaena Harass 06:51, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
