Canada[edit]
Say, should this go over to ACD? --Kels 16:02, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
No ACD's supposed to be funny. Canada's b o r i n g. Keepthe faith 16:08, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
You mean that people in Canada don't shoot each other as much? - All Hail Tuna 10:23, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, we're kind of cool that way. Bear in mind, though we did sort of invent the whole idea of the school shootingand we have seen our fair share of mass gun violence in our time, including massacres in such locations as the Quebec National Assembly, colleges, and high schools. Michael Moore's argument that Canadians don't shoot each other is a little problematic. Also, we do lock our doors, no matter what the fat man says. PFoster 11:53, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
- In the cities we do, when you get out into the country it's a little more lax. But I think that's true of both countries. --Kels 12:07, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
The part where you talk about the pronunciation of "Z" is hilarious. Who was the genius who wrote that?
In a sad and ironic twist, Conservapedia's article on Canada is better written and more informative than this one. It reads like a copy/paste from Uncyclopedia. I saw "rational" in the title of this Wiki and assumed that I would find an article that's, you know, GOOD. I was mistaken.69.60.237.4 20:32, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- Pay no attention to him. I live here, and am half american, so I've got a pretty good grip on the facts between the two. My god, that sounded arrogant. Sorry. I was considering some edits, but on the whole, I`m pretty happy with this. Most Canadians would be. WhyÉ(thats a question mark, my keyboards gone french again...) Because what the less evolved people of the world think doesn`t matter. Damn, that was arrogant too. Sorry. I forgot to sign too. My apologies. tnx, misanthrope... Toronto as capital city[edit]
Nutty Roux, exactly why is it not "good parody" to call Toronto the capital city of Canada? I did that because many people outside of Canada think exactly that, and many Canadians outside of Ontario accuse Torontonians of thinking they live in the center of the universe. It's a valid statement.PrincipalScudworth (talk) 17:33, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- It's not "parody" if it just makes the article look clueless. And what is it a "parody" of? ħuman 18:09, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hee, I just had to look up Canada on WP to find out what its capital was. yummy & honey(or marmalade) 18:30, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- @ Human--It's a parody of the Toronto-centricity of Canada's English-language media, both public and private. it's pervasive, and a constant whipping-boy for people in the Canadian version of flyover country. TheoryOfPractice (talk) 19:41, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- How about using "strikeout humor" to make the joke while indicating we're not morons? IE "in
the capital,Toronto,"....? ħuman 19:56, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Make it so. TheoryOfPractice (talk) 19:57, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- @Human and @TheoryOfPractice To be fair, Toronto, under the old name of York, was the capital of Upper Canada. Ottawa was chosen as the national capital after the War of 1812. Nerd (talk) 16:46, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
Flag[edit]
I assume there is a reason we are using such a blurry version of the flag? ħuman 05:51, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- It is a vector graphic; the problem is with the rasterization process. Perhaps Nx has a more precise knowledge of what is going on. ListenerXTalkerX 06:02, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- I reloaded File:Flag of Canada.svg with the "action=purge" parameter, and now the rasterization is working correctly for me. ListenerXTalkerX 06:05, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Flag[edit]
So Canada and Japan (the two i happen to have seen today) are all blurry. Is this the same problem as directly above and got reverted, or is this a new problem?--En attendant Godot 19:02, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
