Lawsuit Goodness Added![edit]
I added some goodness, linking to the stupid lawsuit he filed against the government. — Unsigned, by: 75.134.106.166 / talk / contribs
Full protection for a while[edit]
User:John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt just revdeleted some stuff on both the article and talk pages, and fully protected the article. This is a sensible thing to have done, and thank you JJJS - David Gerard (talk) 22:30, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- Cue cries of censorship in 3... 2... 1... 141.134.75.236 (talk) 22:35, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- A probably stupid thought: Should we put up an Template:Editnotice for articles that've been legally iffy before, to remind users that what they say needs solid proof? FuzzyCatTomato (talk/stalk) 00:32, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- But... but... those poor poor edit summaries! Censorshipz!!!one1! PacWalker 03:24, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Legal threats against Adblock users[edit]
Now he's sending Adblock users to shady malvertisers and posting on the Adblock Plus forums about taking the developers of ad-blocking software to court: https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28581 Julyo (talk) 15:47, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Not the first to float such ideas, but that isn't the best-reasoned version I've ever seen... PacWalker 15:55, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- "Our team is already making a program to give the user a virus if they enter with an adblocker." WëäŝëïöïďMethinks it is a Weasel 17:40, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- So that's where that forum was! I was wondering where I found that.TGW me myself, and I 20:52, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- I've had a Mike Adams lackey tell me that using AdBlock is breaking the law because if I don't give Mike Adams money when I go to his website, I'm literally stealing his content. People seem to get really mad if they start getting less ad money from their bullshit. Frederick♠♣♥♦ 04:49, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Y'know...[edit]
And I know y'know... His "people with autism focus on one subject" thing is not true. Narky Sawtooth (BoN is paranoid!) 02:57, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

- Hm. I never saw that there was a response to this. Anyways, I was talking about him, not the article. Narky Sawtooth (BoN is paranoid!) 21:23, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Dead websites - maybe remove?[edit]
So I tried looking at the websites listed at the start of the article:
- TheWeatherSpace.com - is now some Russian site.
- SouthernCaliforniaWeatherAuthority.com - seems to want to install a virus.
- WeatherAlertCentral.com - No longer exists. --Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 15:44, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
Beaten up in a bar[edit]
According to this story, Martin was mistaken for a child molester and beaten up in a bar in 2019. https://fox5sandiego.com/news/meteorologist-beaten-after-intoxicated-man-mistakes-him-for-a-child-predator/
The article says, "Martin made a citizen’s arrest, according to a County of Riverside Sheriff’s Department Order of Arrest. He was issued a notice to appear in court on November 6 to state his case." Does that sound plausible? He made a citizen's arrest of a guy that beat him badly, after cops arrived? And why would he victim be given a notice to appear? In California that's a citation, like a traffic ticket (https://www.courts.ca.gov/documents/trinst.pdf). — Unsigned, by: Vivisectionist / talk / contribs
- I'm sure it's coincidence - but he once threatened to have us falsely connected to child abuse See: Kevin_Martin#Threats_to_RationalWiki. Maybe it's karma or something.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 19:31, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
