Talk:Provisional Imperial Government
Is it really "Imperial"?[edit]
I'd leave "Reich" untranslated, as in "Provisional Reich Government". "Reich" doesn't mean "empire" per se, more like "realm". --GCarty (talk) 16:46, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
- "Provisional Imperial Govermnent" seems to be the usual translation used by others - David Gerard (talk) 11:07, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
This article needs expansion[edit]
Is there anybody willing to work through pages and pages of obscure German legalese? another Jewish conspiracy by (((Laurogeita Hamabost))) (talk) 18:21, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Well um, maybe me? i noticed a lack of "Fürstentum Germania" and tought you'd have a blast with that failed "Micro State" (they made a lot of em but this one is extra funny). I think i can use FAZ and Wikipedia, to expand on that. --Benaresh (talk) 18:30, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Cool! Keep in mind that legalese is a special type of jargon, though. It's not like reading real court- or law documents, even in German. It's all pseudolaw. In fact, you should likely read up on the Freemen first (the Reichsbürgerbewegung is kind of a German cousin to the Freemen). Reverend Black Percy (talk) 18:41, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Will do! I think i am going to work over the week to expand that and to make sure the Quality stays top notch. I probably need to read all the Articles on Articles...--Benaresh (talk) 18:59, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Try clicking the legalese link again (it should work properly now). Also, don't miss the article on Strawman theory — it, or a version of it, makes up one of the core arguments of most pseudolaw movements. Good luck! Reverend Black Percy (talk) 19:13, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Paying fines[edit]
Perhaps the fine evaders could try submitting one of these. Anna Livia (talk) 14:11, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- Nice. — Oxyaena Harass 14:52, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- A variant on the 'paying fines in pennies' routine. The banknote will have been demonetised (and is probably worth more as a 'historical object' than when it was in circulation), but they could argue that they offered to pay in a relevant currency. Anna Livia (talk) 15:14, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
Heinrich XIII[edit]
Does now have a WP article in various languages (even the German one was only created 7 December 2022).
Boris Skossyreff and Roman von Ungern-Sternberg got further. Anna Livia (talk) 11:26, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
Absences of Peace Treaties' and ends of wars[edit]
Athens and Sparta [1]
Berwick upon Tweed and Imperial Russia [2]
Several other wars did not involve a peace treaty marking their ending (even excluding those where one or more claimants died and 'winner takes it all' applies).
And I think Liechtenstein found itself fighting two World Wars at once, having been left off the WWI peace treaties.
So the non-signing of a peace treaty by a country divided into several sections at the end of WWII is less relevant than it seems. Anna Livia (talk) 19:30, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- The American Civil War also didn't end with any sort of treaty, but instead with a demand of unconditional surrender. Vee (talk) 19:31, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- I was taking several examples off the top of my head (even if the Athens-Sparta and Berwick-Russia examples were primarily motivated by 'this is a good excuse for a junket.' Anna Livia (talk) 15:35, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
