For some Conservapedia Sysops, Wikipedia was a first choice, but they were too confrontational or too unprofessional to survive in that environment. For others, Wikipedia was a training ground, a second home, or simply a place to continue Conservapedia activities in another setting.
Conservapedia sysops with interesting Wikipedia histories[edit]
Aschlafly[edit]
Andrew Schlafly has no readily traceable pre-CP Wikipedia history, although he has strongly implied that he had spent time making contributions all of which were rejected. For example:[1]
“”I have spent many hours editing Wikipedia and nearly every time my edits have been censored, deleted, diluted or otherwise changed in a biased manner. These include topics ranging from politics to science to Wikipedia itself. And I don't mean simply editing opinions. I'm including how specific and undisputed facts that I have posted have been removed.

Since Conservapedia's inception, however, he has had two accounts, both of which have attracted polite warnings regarding maintaining neutrality and a potential conflict of interest in his editing of the Conservapedia article.[2][3] The accounts have been used solely to discuss Conservapedia and Wikipedia's supposed bias.[4][5]
RSchlafly[edit]
Roger Schlafly has received three 24 hour blocks:[6] the first for edit warring on the Kansas evolution hearings article[7]; the second for attempting to remove sourced material from the Phyllis Schlafly article;[8] and the final one (8 February, 2007) for "continuing to make personal attacks" in violation of clear warnings to the contrary.[9] He has since received no further blocks or warnings, perhaps due the creation of his Conservapedia account (c. 5 February, 2007) which affords his intellectual and emotional shortcomings a much more welcoming playground.
RobS[edit]
RobS has a long Wikipedia history under a variety of closely-related names.[10][11][12]
As Nobs01, he received a 1 year block for personal attacks[13] on January 28, 2006. This was extended due to "ban evasion with sockpuppet" and is currently due to expire December 17, 2007.[14] In the original case, he was variously described as "a crank, pure and simple";[15] as someone who "deletes true information for personal fantasy"; [16] and as someone who "baits people into protracted, absurd debates by consisently(sic) being uncooperative, uncompromising, unfair, and unrestrained in using dubious methods, facts, sources, and outright fraud to promulgate POV drek."[17]
Karajou[edit]
Karajou received a 24 hour block for harassment[18] after repeatedly posting legal threats[19] on Tmtoulouse's talk page. He also saw fit to blank Icewedge's talk page in favour of the "FBI case number"[20] and his penultimate "You're going down, Trent. And I'm going to be there when you get arrested" gambit is a source of particular amusement.[21]
With this address, at least, he made no substantive contributions.
He had previously been a prolific contributor, but apparently exercised his 'right to disappear' around May 15 2007.
Ed Poor[edit]
Ed Poor has a long[22] and somewhat illustrious Wikipedia career. He has been an administrator and bureaucrat, but no longer is. He's attracted controversy for POV forking and contentious editing, and has a Permaban Pending.[23][24]
Conservative[edit]
Although he has declined to confirm it, Conservative is Wikipedia user Kdbuffalo[25]. Under this name, he has been the subject of two RFCs[26][27] and been blocked for 9 days[28]
Geo.plrd[edit]
Geo.plrd was an active and somewhat respected Wikipedian[29], acting as a mediator, but apparently resigned on June 25th due to his "many horrible actions"[30]. It isn't obvious what those horrible actions were.
Active and productive Wikipedians[edit]
These Conservapedia sysops appear to be active and productive Wikipedia contributors.
Non-active[edit]
- SharonS -- a handful of edits to the Conservapedia article and one about a fantasy novel
- CPAdmin1 -- a handful of edits, including reverting vandalism
- TK -- threatening edits to Talk:Conservapedia
No known Wikipedia activity[edit]
The other sysops have no known Wikipedia history.
