Please don't go in and blank portions of articles. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 13:18, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Rev B.P., that portion needed to be gone. It was an embarrassing display of ignorance. The pitch used in boatbuilding came from evergreen trees, and had been used for various sticky porpoises for tens or hundreds of thousands of years, or at least since Creation. - You're blanking an entire section removing a reference to a bible quote, one of God's instructions and a step towards the construction of the ark. The part worth improving (in contrast to blanking the entire segment) is changing the definition of the ingredients in pitch and thus removing the point on a lack of mines and changing it to a lack of trees, if that. And still, I doubt the amount of pitch required to cover a 229,500 square feet vessel - by one senior citizen - would be feasible if it so was made from sand in the desert. - Instead of taking up our new friend's talk page with this discussion, let's go over to Talk:Noah's Ark#Tar pitch instead. CamelCasePragmatist (talk) 18:30, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- I concur. A fine suggestion. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 21:09, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
