Thanks for trying[edit]
Lyra, your contributions to this wiki are pitiful. It's obvious you have no life and make the Star Wars kid seem like an Olympic athlete. Everyone hates you. With love, ħuman 04:07, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Barring Human's joke (at least, I hope it was a joke), you are one of the cool people here. Don't leave for an extended period this time. AnarchoGoon Swatting Assflys is how I earn my living 04:30, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Typical liberal userpage[edit]
You can run from the Alexa statistics but you cannot hide.
In regards to your comments, I find your lack of faith are entirely childish. When it comes to Richard Dawkins and murder, you cover up that now could you please state in the article about your own website that Wikipedia will not permit an article on your website because Wikipedians do not believe you are notable. In fact, by the end of the month, it is likely Obesity will have lost all vestiges of credibility. :) :) :)
Rest assured, Operation Turkey Baster is gathering steam!!! It's clear that evolutionists will be running for the hills in regards to their Google rankings, which will likely be going rapidly downhill in the not too distant future. Sincerely,
A user of the Conservative account

War crimes[edit]
- Its an established fact that the Russians raped their way to Berlin. And its also an established fact that many in the west thought the Nuremburg trials were little more than a fiasco from the outset, considering the comparable Russian war crimes (They thought it absurd that institutional rapists were not just getting off scott free, but also were sitting in judgement!)
- What part of that makes little sense? MarcusCicero (talk) 21:41, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- It insinuates that the trials themselves were a war crime. It needs clarification, that's all. Lyra § talk 21:47, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. That certainly wasn't the intention. I'm just a little cynical about how the victors come to mythologise their own conduct at the expense of facts. That shouldn't take away from the indktense evil the Nazi regime, in any sense, shape or form. MarcusCicero (talk) 21:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yes. "History being written by the winners" is and has always been a major problem - and still a stunning amount of people cling to those mythologies. Like the glorification of the North in the American Civil War or the oversimplification of the American Revolution, for example.
- Your original wording just needs to be reparsed, I think, and maybe I removed it too quickly. Lyra § talk 22:07, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Why the name change?[edit]
Blue is so less elegant than Lyra. I demand you change back. MarcusCicero (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with MarcusCicero here. I loved the name "Lyra Silvertongue"; it had a nice ring to it. Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 22:04, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

- Idiot, I was a troll for many years. I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without trolling by my side. But I spend so many nights thinking how it did me wrong. I grew strong. I learned how to carry on. I think we can all learn something from this story. MarcusCicero (talk) 18:15, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Some proper pottery at last[edit]
You gave me a fright
I was stunned by your height
And the fact that you're right
Made me write
What you deserve tonight
Do you think I'm making no sense?
And my stupidity is intense?
Oh, that's a real offense!
But it's such a pretense!
Just your self-defense!
You're hiding behind the fence!
Yes, you try to hide
that you want to be my bride!
It's a fact!
And not abstract!
I agree to be your groom
And our union may bloom!

A clue for Blue[edit]
I saw that you vandal binned User:LexLang for trying to whitewash an article about their pet H2Om woo. For future reference, we tend to shy away from banning/binning those who disagree with us. Rather, we always strive to have them discuss it on the talkpage with us, and just revert any nonsense they add. Not trying to come across as a prick, just saying that we've had woo whitewashers before, and the worst that happens is that they go away, eventually. The Goonie 1 What's this button do? Uh oh.... 00:18, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Just by the way, Blue beat me by seconds, I was gonna do likewise. LexLang isn't disagreeing but promoting with extracts from the company publicity. 00:28, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- I told the dolt to take it to the talkpage. Let's see what they do from there. My guess is they already have moved on. Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 00:40, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- At first I thought they were a spammer and when I saw otherwise I was going to parole them - but they came back and reverted, once every half hour, three times. And this was after they were warned about what the wiki was and wasn't. I think that qualifies as vandalism. Blue (pester) 00:46, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps.... Like I said, I told them to bring it to the article's talkpage next time, so we'll see where it goes from there. Odds are good that, since they haven't responded by now, they've left the Wiki after realizing the futility of trying to whitewash the article. Punky Your mental puke relief 00:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Most likely. I agree with Susan here, though- he wasn't disagreeing, he was erasing thewhole article and spamming his company's publicity. There's very little difference between that and blanking page content - and so I think use of the bin is well justified. Blue (pester) 00:57, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Well, now attention's been brought to it, I've looked at it and it's so full of WOOOOOOOO that it's funny. I'll give it more of a look tomorrowish. 01:19, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Wow, and eir edits were basically illiterate, too. I'm on the fence with this one. If ey don't respond to requests to go to talk page, or comments on eir own talk page, well... I can't say I'd blame Blue. Although it is so much more fun to engage these woomeisters than to remove eir franchise. ħuman 04:49, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Template cats[edit]
There's a bug in Mediawiki that prevents the parent template page from picking up the category you put on the doc subpage. Not even purge helps. You have to edit the template itself, however you can just click edit and click save (you don't have to insert whitespace or anything like with a dummy edit). This won't be recorded in the history (unlike a dummy edit), but it will fix category membership. -- Nx / talk 06:39, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, so that's what it is. I've been re-adding the cats manually, so thanks for the heads up. Blue (pester) 15:05, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
Hey, can you help me?[edit]
I feel like a complete beginner in spanish. If I want to ask what something means, for example, "what does "apple" mean"? then should I ask something like "que significa "manzana"? I mean, the verb "significar" just seems to be so wrong.
Another question; how to you say "teacher"? Dictionary shows me a word that irritatingly sounds like "professor". I don't want to use such an ugly word. Is there any other word for that? --Earthland (talk) 17:57, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
- To ask how to say a word in Spanish, you would generally use the phrase "¿Cómo se dice apple en español?"
- Yes, unfortunately for you, the word for "teacher" is profesor. If you're talking about a primary school teacher, however, you could use maestro(a). It gets more complicated when you're actually trying to say "professor," though - it could be "catedrático(a)" or "profesor." Hope this helped. Blue (pester) 20:04, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Display title[edit]
http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/index.php?title=User%3ABlue&diff=657554&oldid=657551 I had a look at this, it was floating over the top of the text in the difflinks because the position was set to absolute. While floating is sometimes inconsistent, it won't move to the wrong position should the top of the page change (such as with difflinks or intercom messages). Feel free to revert, I just saved it to check if it would actually work. bomination 17:42, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- No problem, thank you. I have a tendency to make wikicode more complicated than it needs to be, with varying results. Blue (pester) 17:50, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
