RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $4200Goal: $6000

Hi. Thanks for joining.--Bob"I think you'll find it's more complicated than that." 15:46, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Bates Eye Method[edit]

As a sock of the person who first created this article I have only one word to say to you - bravo! Seriously good stuff (OK, so that's three more). Placeholder (talk) 12:42, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! I'm learning how to "wiki" as I go, so pretty nervous about editing what someone else already worked on! I'll try to get it finished and polished today :)HelenCampbell (talk) 13:54, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
You seem to be doing just fine, as far as I can tell. I just added a bit of "collaboration" to your excellent job on the Baghdad battery article. Thanks for what you've been doing here! Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 18:52, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

Killing it[edit]

Seriously impressed with your new pages. Nice work.--NerdyWizard (talk) 01:19, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, NerdyWizard! I've always had a fascination with this stuff, and with the knots people will tie themselves in to Believe even when there's a simpler explanation available. I'm still learning how to make what I write Wiki-friendly.

"See also" and "External links"[edit]

About this edit: the "see also" section is for "internal" links - articles on the Wiki. Links to pages on other sites generally go to the "External links" section, which is usually put right after "See also".--ZooGuard (talk) 15:08, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Thanks! Will fix where I've done that. Helen 15:13, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
It's not much of a problem - there are people who, for the lack of better ways to contribute, patrol the wiki fixing such things. ;) --ZooGuard (talk) 15:31, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
