TROLLING[edit]
Champions of Liberty[edit]
So are you bringinng the "champions of liberty" back? Btw, good to see youre trying to be a useful editor now. Ex-Troll CheerleaderI'm a teenage girl; get ALLstate to protect yourself from Mayhem like me 03:17, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Booring[edit]
If even you aren't doing any drama here, then this site will soon suck my socks off. Btw, I thought that one of your socks already is a "useful" editor, if it "takes an active part in RW activities".
May I write you another poem? --Idiot number 58 (talk) 19:18, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
I see you through[edit]
And I know what you're up to. I will not let you succeed, Troll. --Idiot number 59 (talk) 15:06, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Be so kind as to tell me what I am doing? MarcusCicero (talk) 15:09, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
A very reasonable question that doesn't qualify as trolling by any reasonable standard[edit]
You have stated that you have a user account here that takes part in RW's usual activities. If so, then you already are a "useful" member, and why do you need this "Look, look, I'm not a troll anymore!" comedy? --Idiot number 59 (talk) 16:05, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- I think sticking the DFFT template on MC's contribution to Soviet Russia was inappropriate for 2 reasons. 1. It wasn't trolling. 2. In Soviet Russia, the Troll FEEDS YOU! I'll get me coat. Bondurant (talk) 16:08, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- I wus talking about another thing, actually. But Marcus was much more fun when he was just trolling around. Now it's all up to me to create some drama and make this place at least a little more interesting. --Idiot number 59 (talk) 16:16, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
FINAL CLARIFICATION[edit]
Clearly I lied. I have no sock accounts of any substance. In fact I will now make a formal declaration of all of my socks, for what it is worth- Libertarian1, Edmund Burke and Lunacy. You know all of them. Theemperor, Neveruse, Quaru and Idiot Number 59 are not my socks.
I decided to retire from trolling as it long ago reached its natural saturation point. The high point of my trolling here was the time that Jeeves tried to get me permanantly blocked, causing massive headaches to all and sundry. My biggest mistake was formally admitting to being a troll, as this made it infinitely easier for you to marginalise me. More recently, I achieved some limited success by exploiting pre existant resentment against Gerard (Whom I genuinely dislike as a person as he represents what is most annoying about wikipedia). However, Gerard is adept at these games and has managed to neutralise all dissent, as I am naturally associated with the said dissent. Ergo, in the long run, he will be receive greater damage as a consequence of my normalisation.
On an unrelated point, trolling just got boring. It was great in my heydey because it pissed so many people off, but everyone is now aware of it and I no longer have much of an impact on anyone. I was alone, adrift, destined to be little more than a minor nuisance. Instead I am going to be constructive and repair some of the manifest flaws evident on this website (Which I have often exaggerated in the pursuit of trollery, but they are clearly a big issue).
Make of my conversion what you will; I do not care. For what its worth, you are one of the more boring trolls I've had the misfortune of bumping into. I've done my fair share of damage on the internet, and your kind will rightly be regarded as irrelevant and a waste of space, lacking insight or machiavellian qualities. MarcusCicero (talk) 17:11, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Apart from when you get into personal attacks with people (i.e. Crundy, Human, Susan etc, etc) I actually quite like you MC. You're relatively entertaining. SJ Debaser 17:32, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

- I am fond of strong rhetoric. That is all. Americans tend to have a poor sense of the ironic and certainly lack any understanding of wit, so this reaction comes as no surprise. MarcusCicero (talk) 17:44, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

TROLL BAITING[edit]
You're not fooling anyone around here[edit]

- Sure. Let's see, what problems do I have with MC? He's stated, himself, multiple times, that he's a troll. He'd blanked and deleted pages, using his sysop rights. He's trolled and initiated HCM many, many times. He's harassed and threated multiple users here on multiple occasions. While I can understand the argument tha t"oh, we can just undelete the pages in two clicks", it really dosen't make much sense to give someone power when they've abused it in the past. And before you say "he's done nothing bad recently", keep in mind that MC's supposedly given up trolling three or four times now, and he inevitable comes back to create more drama. He's a troll and he should be banned, but if that's against the "spirit" of the wiki, then at the very least he shouldn't be made a sysop, which would essentially give implicit approval to his actions and only encourage him. - You do know that fighting with and blocking his own socks is an old MC trick to create HCM and troll the site? Theemperor is an MC sock.74.63.93.220 (talk) 05:01, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- So says an anon IP. I think everybody is an MC sock. I am and so are you. RW is nothing more than MC talking to himself all day and night - right now he has 5,686 socks, but he'll create some more soon. --(((Zack Martin)))™ 06:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- There is no doubt that Marcus is a lonely bastard who spends a lot of time creating and interacting with his socks. Most normal users ignore him as he is a troll, so he creates his own socks to talk to. However when he really wants to feel good and get people talking about him he gets his socks to vandal bin or block him as he can then try creating some more HCM. Quite pathetic really.69.195.136.106 (talk) 07:00, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, thus speaks the anon IP with only two edits, both of which are to attack MC. Should we pay any attention to what the IP says? It's obvious from how you write that you must surely have an account, why don't you put a name to what you have to say? --(((Zack Martin)))™ 07:13, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm rather fond of Marcus, I think he's part of what makes RW what it is, and, as often or not his message is quite valid. There is a point, of course, that should he want sysop status for any reason other than proving some sort of point then the easy answer is to create yet another sock, behave in a reasonable fashion for a week or so and job's a goodun. For all we know he's already done this. Jack Hughes (talk) 08:37, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
