Hello and welcome. --Bob_M (talk) 04:40, 21 July 2007 (CDT)

Look at me! I'm too darn lazy to make a userpage! Isn't that red link annoying? (unsigned by Radioactive afikomen)

Apologies - I didn't realize it was mandatory to have a user page. Thanks for filling in for me! Bondurant 07:28, 22 January 2008 (EST)
It's not, RA should have posted his request on your talk page not your user. Let me know if you want this userpage vaped so you have a clean slate. Pinto's5150 Talk 17:27, 22 January 2008 (EST)

Bacon[edit]

As we all know, anyone who hates bacon is an EVIL ANTI-SEMITE. I expect some sort of payment in compensation. :-) --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 16:10, 29 January 2008 (EST)

You'se a Sysop - cause you likes Bacon & I'se just had a Bacon Butty. Nothing to do with PJR & YEC's Honest. SusanG  ContribsTalk 06:40, 27 May 2008 (EDT)

One day?[edit]

So you want it to vandalize more tomorrow? --Elassint, 7 6 '08 9:59 AM

I put your vandal user into the vandal group Elassint, so the block isn't really necessary. However I suppose we could give it a longer one if you really want it.--Bobbing up 10:05, 6 July 2008 (EDT)
The way I see it, it makes little difference how long you block a particular user, as any vandal can easily create a new sock. Bondurant 10:07, 6 July 2008 (EDT)
Well, it depends. It's a bit more work looking for new IP addresses for each one. If it's easier sysops to stop them than it is for them to create new accounts then the attraction will presumably pale. Then there is the question of identity. Vandals like to be known for their destruction, or their ability to annoy, in the same way that editors like to be respected for good edits. The "Vandal Brake" should help to them to kick the habit as "Named" vandal accounts will work very slowly.--Bobbing up 10:41, 6 July 2008 (EDT)

It probably has a Dynamic IP address. You can’t block it for long. You risk blocking an innocent user who gets the vandal’s IP address later.

Liberal[edit]

I wrote facts but interpreted them in a satirical comical manner, what is wrong with that --Zoophile 03:32, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

Because it is opinion mostly. The dawkins quote could go in the Dawkins article. NOT LIBERAL. --US-O11 insignia svg.png Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 03:34, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

It was not opinion it was satire, plz let me keep the Dawkins quote--Zoophile 03:35, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

Instead of just reverting established articles, discuss your additions on the talk pages. It's called common courtesy. If you've just joined the site and see an article you have edited being reverted, then why engage in edit warring. Not a great way to endear yourself to the other users of this site. Parthian shot[edit]

Thanks, that looks a lot better. I'll try to find some more. Everyone likes reading a good parthian shot.Damo2353 10:35, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Indeed. It looks as if humblepi spent his month off constructively - carfully wording the most blistering parthian shot he could.
Good luck finding more - they tend to be vaped quickly though. Bondurant 10:45, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
I was about to deliver one last week, until Ed decided to unblock me. What a nice guy. It's still saved though, just waiting for the opportunity.--Damo2353 11:39, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

Fox block[edit]

I agree with the reasoning, but I'm not sure that's going to make things better. --Arcan ¡ollǝɥ 17:45, 30 July 2008 (EDT)

The discussion wasn't going anywhere better, as I saw it. Heckles were being raised on all sides. Bondurant 17:47, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
Don't get me wrong, I don't actually think it was a bad decision. There were really very few options. I'm just saying that we should probably expect an irate Fox in a couple of hours (assuming he hasn't gone to bed). --Arcan ¡ollǝɥ 17:57, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
We may also need to prepare for an onslaught of accusations (ridiculous ones IMHO) of hypocrisy in saying CP blocks the opinions of those who disagree. I'm just saying we should be prepared.--Damo2353 18:02, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
Oh yes, "we're just as bad as CP". There's a world of difference between a 2 hr cooling off period and infinite blocks. Personally I would have followed the DFTT mantra and just ignored him. I guess with his wife away he needed another outlet for his testosterone. Sadly he only ended up making himself look like a real jerk. Jollyfish.gifGenghisevolving 18:14, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
ANd it's the saddest part. He's usually so rational. Maybe he just went D-Fens and had a bad day. I don't worry about him coming back pissed as much as I worry about him not coming back at all. --US-O11 insignia.svg Gen. S.T. Shrink Mr. President...I lost the WMD's 18:18, 30 July 2008 (EDT)

All work and snow play[edit]

Sorry for annoying you with my mindless enthusiasm earlier. There's been quite a lot of that currently...Totnesmartin 13:57, 6 February 2009 (EST)

Why do you get snow in Aylesbury while I, considerably north of you, have got virtually none? Harmonic time Phantom! 13:58, 6 February 2009 (EST)
That's ok. People from my work went out for a snowball fight in their lunch break, while I had to stay in for a meeting :-( Hope you had fun, Totnesmartin :-) Bondurant 14:00, 6 February 2009 (EST)

Knotts[edit]

You hinted somewhere that you're in Nottingham. This might (or might not) be of interest. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 13:45, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I am, and thanks for that. I may cast my eye over what they're doing. I've made some edits to local articles in the past, but not really got involved with some of the janitorarial (sic?) stuff like tagging and the like. E.g. Did you know that Reservoir Dogs had its UK premier at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham? You do now. Bondurant (talk) 16:57, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
I shall be in Nottingham at Easter, wandering about in a kilt - wave if you see me :) Worm(t | c) 09:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
And what brings you to our fine city? If it's the national kilt-wearing convention, and I wave to everyone wearing a kilt, then I may:
  • Get tired from all the waving; or
  • Get beaten up; or
  • End up in some kind of compromising situation with a bunch of boozed up celts.
Bondurant (talk) 10:01, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I'm a member of Join Me and we descend on Notts every year at Easter to hold 'Good Good Friday', charge around the town giving out hugs, presents and general niceness, drink, eat, drink, chat, drink and then play the least-professional-ever game of football on Saturday at Forest Field (last year's game was won 10-9) (check out my magnificent physique - calm down ladies. Worm(t | c) 10:12, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Heh, cool. I used to live within kicking distance of Forest Fields. I clicked on that flickr link fearful that it was of you playing football in a kilt.
I'm sure you know Notts quite well if you come here regularly, but if you need any pointers for some good places to go then let me know. Bondurant (talk) 10:22, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
We tend to go to the same pubs (Malt Cross, Via Fossa, Fellows Morton & Clayton, the Sal and the Trip) because it's easier to organise and they know us. But a really nice place to eat would be good - it's my sister's birthday and I'm treating her to a nice meal. We went to Piccolino last year and it was fab. Worm(t | c) 10:31, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Piccolino is nice. I'll get back to you later with some links for some of my favourite places. Bondurant (talk) 10:49, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Nice one - cheers! Worm(t | c) 10:54, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Hell Hunt[edit]

How do you know this pub, and how do you know that it "claims to be the oldest pub in Estonia"? I mean, if it is really established in 1993...

And why do you think that there's need to mention such fact in the article anyway? --Earthland (talk) 09:22, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Re oldest etc: look here. Why? It's "trivia" and therefore worth mentioning. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 09:31, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I've been to Tallinn (about 5 years ago), and had plenty of nice Estonian beer at Hell Hunt. I also pinched a glass from there, which is currently sitting in my kitchen cupboard and may well get used when I have some friends over to watch the rugby this weekend.
The reason it claims to be Estonia's oldest pub is that it was the first pub to established after independence, so while there are undoubtedly older pubs, they date from darker times. Bondurant (talk) 09:50, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh, a pub I never tried in my many times in Tallinn. And to think that I got my last major hangover in Tallinn, a couple of years ago. Editor at CPmały książe 10:12, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I've had a few hangovers in Tallinn, but it was about -17oC at the time, so it didn't seem to feel any different to being sober. Bondurant (talk) 10:33, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

No, spot on. The little guy's a troll and should be treated as such. 17:20, 25 April 2010 (UTC) yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade)
Trolls should be ignored. Using word "fuck" as much as possible is something else. --Earthland (talk) 17:25, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
(EC)Thanks, just checking. I'm a little cranky after a long journey and thought maybe I'd been a little heavy handed with a valued member of the community. Or something. Bondurant (talk) 17:27, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Revert[edit]

I thought there was an exception for MC? For the record, if the little tiny-dicked pipsqueak fucks with my page then anyone is welcome to revert. Ignoring / silencing him is the worst thing you can do to him. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 10:34, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Maybe, although I thought that talk pages were the exception to the exception, except for users like yourself who - er - except themselves from that, if you follow. There was a MC/BON comment from yesterday that was still on Human's talk page, so it looked a bit silly to revert the most recent one! Bondurant (talk) 10:43, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh I just diffed the change and reverted. Didn't spot the other shit. Well, unless someone asks I won't revert their talk page then. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 10:45, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Haha... contradictory. That's good material. SJ Debaser 17:12, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
It's brilliant. The use of the word "fuck" in so many creative ways, the opening gambit with "cunt", the cuteness of the "prat." It's the Hamlet of cussing, the Sergent Pepper of profanity, the Citizen Kane of filth. Account or no, Sysop or no, MC/Edmund is fun to have around. Bondurant (talk) 18:17, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
