Centrist dictatorship?[edit]

How does that work? Rabbitseatcarrots (talk) 15:03, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

They are rare, but not theoretically impossible. All you need is the repressive political system of a dictatorship along with centrist-oriented public policies. I think Lee Kuan Yew is probably a good example of a centrist dictator. GeeJayKWhere all evil dwells Where every lie is true 15:13, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
G is right. That’s why I put Singapore as a centrist dictatorship. Rational Dude (talk) 16:40, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
There's also the fact that centrism by itself is ill-defined. For instance, Napoleon can be considered a "centrist" dictator because he represented the "center" between the monarchists and revolutionaries. Plutocow (talk) 16:42, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
Also a good point. Rational Dude (talk) 16:44, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Aliyev is just a fascist[edit]

Red Fascism at least implies nominal anti-nationalism. Aliyev doesn't even have that. He's pretty explicitly an Azeri nationalist. Carthage (talk) 20:08, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Are we sure Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un are nominally anti-nationalist? (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Natsuki Marx ♥ (talk) 21:48, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
I'm just adding them based on 3 classifications, but I admit that the classification isn't concrete, it just makes things easier to sort. Rational Dude (talk) 21:50, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
If we consider Dengism/Juche to be the same as Marxism-Leninism... Carthage (talk) 22:55, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
Also what's explicitly leftist about Aliyev's positions or policies? Carthage (talk) 23:17, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
I added him by accident, I'll put him him other authoritarians. Rational Dude (talk) 23:53, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
