Oh joy[edit]

Looks like we've got a conservative analogue to this guy... --Goatspeed. See what I'm up toCircularREmail2.gifasoningSee my latest prototypes 07:52, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

That’s premature. Logic boy had a fascinatingly deranged behavioral pattern that hasn’t yet been displayed here. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 08:43, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
For the record, I'm only writing articles in the style concurrent with other RW pages. Unclescrooge (talk) 18:11, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Like it or not, but this essay borderlines Encyclopedia Dramatica's writing style. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 18:20, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
I think "Unclescrooge" is a sock of LT. UShistoryanalyzer (talk) 21:47, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
I don't know how you swiped Hunter Biden's crack pipe to get that high, but you need to get off of it. Unclescrooge (talk) 22:25, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

As someone from the chloroquineland[edit]

Aka Brazil, I just wanted to say "fuck you" to the guy who wrote this essay. Governments are spending money on this garbage that could be used on things that actually work agains Covid-19. I don't think it's a coincidence that Brazil and US were hit so bad by this pandemic, Trump and Bolsonaro should be triald on the ICJ together since they are BBF's. Fucking fed up with all these politician-worshipers spreading all this garbage everywhere. Yes, this is not an argument but a rant. And frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. Spoken like a true conspiracy theorist. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 22:31, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Rationalwiki in mainspace has a section on chloroquine that IMHO is much better... a shitpost idiotic rant like this essay would not make the cut. Information evolves and the later meta studies I see (among many others) suggests that, regarding COVID treatment, HCQ does not seem to decrease mortality, and the HCQ/AZM combo actually might make things worse. For current treatment developments, a quick Google search brings up this link where a decent amount of drugs are being evaluated at this time, many of which have not become culture war memes in any way at all (BaricitinibWikipedia is now approved by the FDA as of November 2020, it seems, that was new to me since I hadn't looked in a while. There are many other examples being evaluated in the linked Mayo Clinic article). I have no idea why Trump and other populist conservatives like Bolsonaro got fixated on hydroxychloroquine. I guess they did so because it was an "own those gosh darn liberal scientists" moment, or maybe it was because hydroxychloroquine is 1950s technology (which some American Luddites see as "the best technology") or something. Who knows. People these days are "owning the libs" these days by drinking bleach. It's your life, I guess. *shrug* PanGalacticGargleBlaster (talk) 06:04, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Author is an idiot[edit]

Author provides seven primary sources which find HCQ to be ineffective, and just asserts they are fraudulent.
Author provides one anecdote (from a politician!?) as testament to its efficacy.
Author uses conspiratorial garbage as a source. [1]
Author is an idiot.

If you think this is bad you should see the Sinophobia "debate."-Flandres (talk) 13:17, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
I did see that! Took only seconds to figure out why the argument was deeply flawed. Didn't bother commenting because I noticed other editors (notably yourself) echoed that same sentiment. Kauri0.o (talk) 22:42, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
