2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Homemade Soylent. Do not try this at home.

Soylent Green is a tasty wafer snack made of soy, lentils, and a seekrit "mystery ingredient". Yum!

Soylent Green is superior to its predecessors, Soylent yellow, Soylent Red, and cat food in that it is not red, yellow, or made out of cat food.[1] Soylent is superior to Hufu, if for no other reason than you can get Soylent by mail order. It should be made clear, however, that sometimes Soylent green is cat food, and that sometimes cat food is Soylent green. The only way to tell is to feed it to your cat. If nothing happens you can be unsure of it being either Soylent green or cat food. If the cat dies it is your own fault.

Some vegans claim that Soylent Green is murder. They are wrong.

A light, dry white wine, such as Portuguese vinho verde, is recommended with it. A Chianti, no matter how nice it may be, simply carries the wrong nuances.
