Fun talk:Comic Sans
Has Comic Sans been disabled at RW? ωεαşεζøίɗMethinks it is a Weasel 18:53, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think so. After doing a quick check, it is still enabled here at least. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 19:08, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- It seems you have to quote it up: <font face="Comic Sans MS"</nowiki> which you don't seem to have to do with other fonts like Arial, Courier & Impact. Life is strange. WéáśéĺóíďMethinks it is a Weasel 19:22, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- YOU EYEGOUGING FUCKING BASTARD. I kIlL yOu. KiLl yOu dEaD. - David Gerard (talk) 19:44, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'd guess that it needs quotes because it's multiple words, unlike the others you mentioned (i.e. the software doesn't like whitespace). ThunderkatzHo! 19:49, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Mission???[edit]
Other than the fact that this article mentions PZ Meyers' use of it, I seriously fail to see how this is on-mission or even close. Though, if it is, I sure can't wait to debunk how Comic Sans has been used to cure AIDS. The Punk Symphony of Noise Your mental puke relief 08:05, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- I have a photo somewhere of Comic Sans in its Pentecostal church use which I'll find and upload. The article is marginal, but not IMO over the edge - David Gerard (talk) 08:49, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

- Like Papyrus, I think covering the cultural trappings of on-mission idiots is, ehh, not off-mission and not worth consignment to the fiery depths of crapspace. In any case, please hold off a few days while I seek out that photo (or, if all else fails, go take another one) - David Gerard (talk) 12:36, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, that's annoying - I seem not to have saved the pic in question. Will need to get it again - David Gerard (talk) 07:42, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- The one I just added from Flickr is just a noticeboard, but the church I'm thinking of (it's in Bethnal Green, near the train station) has all its external signage in Comic Sans. Absolutely going full retard - David Gerard (talk) 07:52, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Bumping the discussion - I personally have no opinion, but we aught to resolve the banner issue.En attendant Godot 21:21, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Kids! This site is all yours is written in Comic Sans. I was trying to dig up more examples from Pharyngula, but got distracted with the latest idiocy from the Journal of Cosmology.--ZooGuard (talk) 07:10, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
