Delete[edit]

  1. I have also tagged this with the jellybrain, because it truly is a terrible article. Not only is it a semi-stub, but an inaccurate stub (for example, it doesn't mention once that it was more an Allied project not just American). It's not really been overhauled since 2013, so I don't believe it shall ever get better. This is something where better sources are fairly easily found online, so it's not like we must cover this or else. I'm happy to be the destroyer of pages, here... 2. This is a page I'm interested in remaking entirely once deleted. Even if I just overhauled it, I'd delete basically everything out of this article and just replace it all with my own material. 🎄Chef Moosolini’s Ristorante Italiano🎄Ask about our holiday specials! 21:18, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
  3. The Bainbridge quote is badass, but the rest does not read very much like a Wiki should. Lucern99 (talk) 22:14, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

  1. Important topic for RW to cover, the stub is not so horrible as to warrant deletion. Plutocow (talk) 19:48, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
It's not really missional, and WP [and lots of others] do it better. KarmaPolice (talk) 20:11, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
I would support this becoming a more generic 'atomic bomb' page. Because, for example the British 'Tube Alloys' project was merged into Manhattan and after WW2 the British team went back home and under 'High Explosive Research' re-used a lot of Manhattan for the British bomb. And we can't forget the Soviet programme was also partly based on it... [which is why I say the page is shit; I could make a better page from the shit already in my head!] KarmaPolice (talk) 20:35, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
The Manhattan Project is pretty missional. It was a major government-ran project that produced one of humanity's deadliest weapons during humanity's deadliest war. Soviet espionage efforts on the project are also worth looking at. 🎄Chef Moosolini’s Ristorante Italiano🎄Ask about our holiday specials! 21:16, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
I hate the existing MP page. I don't have anything against a good MP page existing [though I wouldn't bother personally]. Looking through it, I honestly don't think there's anything worth salvaging from it. KarmaPolice (talk) 21:25, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

Merge/redirect[edit]

  1. If this article is just gonna get rewritten, redirect it to draft. Carthage (talk) 04:20, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
If there ever were a redirect for it instead, the article Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki might be best-suited. ☣🍆☣ (talk) 16:00, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
