Please do not archive this documentation[edit]
AOTW is supported by these templates:
Template:AOTW Main is the transcluded list of links to AOTW and the WIGOs that shows on the main page.
AOTW Navigation is the little row of links between the AOTW and WIGO pages.
On the page itself:
Template:AOTW Intro is the section of text below the "article specific" stuff and above the rating sliders.
Template:Sliders is the base page for the lists of sliders. The actual lists are stored as subpages.
Template:AOTW Intro/check is the text that appears above the checkboxes under the sliding scales.
Template:Check is the base page for the lists of checkbox content. The actual lists are stored as subpages.
Template:Descriptions is the wiki stuff for the "characteristic" descriptions at the bottom of the AOTW page.
Future AOTWs are managed at RationalWiki:Proposed Article of the Weak / RationalWiki talk:Proposed Article of the Weak
Previous AOTWs are linked manually at RationalWiki:Article of the Weak/Archives
Thank you and happy AOTWing! ħuman

Sig borking[edit]
OYFG The font is screwed up (IE 8 and firefox 3.0.10)! Someone please fix the signature! Thieh 17:58, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Re-order the descriptions?[edit]
Should the description of the fallacies/characteristics be re-ordered (to alphabetical or matching the slider list)? [[User:K61824|]][[User_talk:K61824|]] 02:09, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- The description is used over several different slider sets, effecting one will effect them all. I will look to see what can be done but Nx is going to be rewriting it soon anyway. - π 02:29, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Higher profile? (again...)[edit]
1. Anyone else think we should add AotW to the "community" box on the left?
2. Any chance that one day Nx (or anyone) will figure out how to make updates (votes, comments, etc.) appear on RC? ħuman 00:59, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I am now three clicks and typing, trying to find what Pi mentioned on my talk page. We really need to revamp this structure. ħuman 03:55, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Talk page access for current AotW[edit]
We should figure out a way to add a link to the current AotW's talk page, for easy discussion of it. Right now all the talk links go to this meta-talkpage. ħuman 01:02, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
We should scrap the comments system[edit]
It's full of spam, it's unmaintainable, and it also doesn't appear on recent changes. I could improve it to alleviate these problems, but I don't think it's worth the bother. Just transclude a talk page like Mei does with her CLoM. -- Nx / talk 18:41, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- If there's a way for you to make both comments and new voting turn up on RC that would really help. One reason AotW is so dead is no one ever knows when there's activity there - hence the spam not being removed, no one knew it was added. ħuman 19:42, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Not showing up on RC isn't the only problem. It needs a complete rewrite to integrate it properly into mediawiki. That's not something I want to do, and I don't see why it is needed. -- Nx / talk 19:48, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- How about Wikia's user blog? - π 21:41, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'd rather not, I'd have to cut it out of the blog extension, plus it's a Wikia extension, plus plus since Liquidthreads is coming, I don't want to introduce a third (fourht?) way of doing stuff. I've completed the sliders and checkboxes, so now I can rebuild aotw using those and a template. However the comments still remain a problem. I think I'm going to use the import feature of MediaWiki to integrate past comments into the wiki as actual edits, once we figure out how to do the commenting (I'm thinking a subpage of the aotw subpage, something like the CLoMei) -- Nx / talk 11:52, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
