Articles[edit]

So I notice you took issue with a couple of articles, and feel they're biased. And you know what? They are biased. But the bias is against people claiming inherent superiority because of skin color and a forum for hatemongering which fantasizes about the day the revolution comes, respectively. I invite you to check out the white supremacy article and the Anglo-Saxon Foundation article, which are about people claiming inherent superiority because of skin color and a forum for hatemongering which fantasizes about the day the revolution comes. Please then open up multiple tabs and compare them to black supremacy and AssataShakur.org. So, yes, we are laughing at people who hold those specific beliefs--racist ideologies and advocating violent extermination of people they disagree with--and we do it to all who believe that, whatever the flavor, and we do it because their beliefs are ridiculous and deserve to be treated with mockery. --Maxus (talk) 07:01, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Ah, yes, the old 'Both sides do it!1' canard.

Firstly, I don't think the articles are biased - I think they were written in bad faith, and purposefully misconstrue the words of the black people on those sites. Take, for example, the laughter about black people calling white people 'devils'. Have you lot considered that it is merely a rhetorical term?

Furthermore, with all your talk about how white people and black people 'should be friends' and how black separatists are 'bad', you certainly aren't doing much to foster a sense of unity and fellowship between the races, unless public humiliation and mockery are your unique action plan to engendering love towards white people in the hearts of black people. Should I want to be friends with people who say "LOOK AT THESE BLACK DUMBASSES!"? Do you think that endears you and your kind to our people? Is that constructive?

Honestly, it seems more like you and your colleagues were seeking out reasons to denigrate and publicly shame the black race. It's fine if you want to do that - Lord knows, there are tons of websites doing just that. It's just that you guys claim to be rational and forward thinking, except, of course, when it comes to black people. I imagine that you'll probably put up a screenshot of my posts and go "HAHAHAH WHAT A BLACK DUMBASS", which is the de facto behavior around here, if I'm not dreadfully mistaken. Black people having opinions about stuff? Oh noes! We can't have THAT kind of stuff around here! TO THE BATMOBILE!

Trouble is, I really did like this website. I think you guys are doing a pretty good job. Besides, I think it's obvious that the 'black supremacists' aren't sincere with their wishes, whereas, the white supremacists do, in fact, have a historical precedent of attempting to wipe out lesser races.

I'm eager to hear your response.

Finally, it's unfortunate that RationalWiki buys into the Fear, Uncertainty, and Denial about "black racism". If rationality truly held court on this site, it would be well-known that 'black racism', if there is even such a thing, hurts nobody and does nothing. You can't say, for example, that black racists murdered a young white boy for looking at a black woman, or hung scores of white people from trees, or etc., which, I think, is a failure on the part of RationalWiki.

I'm not saying that they don't say stupid things. I'm a bisexual black man who enjoys crossplaying. I get in horrible shitfits with other black people about my preferences.

They say things like "YOU ARE A TOOL OF WHITE SUPREMACY AND HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO BE GAY BY WHITE PEOPLE!111"

I say, "That's fucking stupid, man."

I have no issue with you guys pointing out the stupidity that some black people labour under - far from it. In fact, I think it should be done more often. However, I take issue with the mean-spirited behavior put forth in these articles. I feel it's uncalled for.

But, you know what? It's really none of my business, and I don't expect you lot to spare my tender little fee-fees, anyway. I merely said some things because I wanted to get it off my chest.

I'm not sure what's wrong with either particular article, but I'd like to note black supremacy garners a little bit more sympathy than white supremacy simply because the former lack institutional power to carry out their visions while the latter do not. Well, the point of my response was not "BOTH SIDES DO IT" but "We do it to both sides!" Rather than "we laugh at black people" (as you accused us of doing) or "we laugh at white people, it's "we laugh at nutcases who believe this stuff and behave this way", and there's people of that stripe of behavior who belong to different creeds. If you did feel RW singling out black people, I'm pretty sure that's unintentional on our end.
Personally, I'm against pseudoscience and general craziness. Claiming to have superpowers/ESP gets you a going-over. Advocating for racial supremacy gets you a going-over. Claiming Jews are from space gets you a going-over. So people claiming I'm secretly a reptile person and working to keep white supremacy in place and that I'm Satan, well, that gets them a going-over.
Now whether or not they're sincere in their beliefs could be debated, but I take the view that what people say when they're among a bunch of like-minded people is generally how they feel. The white supremacists HAVE had shots at running things their way, officially or unofficially, and could do it with the support, official or unofficial, of the system, so they've proved they're pretty fucking bad. I don't have much faith that any other supremacist ideology would be noticeably better/kinder were they in charge. --Maxus (talk) 19:46, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
