Welcome to the cesspit of the internet, Chuck. Tetronian you're clueless 19:58, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

The link, “our guide for newcomers,” brought RationalWiki:Newcomers which said to read “this link” which was rediredted to RationalWiki:What is a RationalWiki article?. The “our guidelines” link brought RationalWiki:Community Standards. I read all three pages on November 21, 2009. While reading, I had to look up Crank (eccentric, unusual, prankster, malicious &/or grouch), Authoritarianism (strict & demanding obedience), Fundamentalism (taking doctrine or platform literally and obeying), Tautology (a statement that because of it’s form is true), and snarky & meta, both of which weren’t in the dictionary I used. --Chuck marean jr 04:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

===Coining money==

Reaganomics cut spending to increase demand rather than using subsidy. It also cut taxes with the hope of increased supply, selling, profits and tax revenue. Reaganomics also deregulated the market, so stores could charge whatever they could. While the inflation increased tax revenue, the government got billed larger amounts because of the inflation and deregulation.

Coining money, on the other hand, could enable the government to pay its bills without taxes. Coins can be considered of value because they are both a product and service, and also because the government making them sets their value. Coins worth a trillion dollars could be made and deposited into government accounts..

Since the government would not be borrowing, it would never need higher taxes or perhaps any taxes at all. The government could pay its bills without any bonds or taxes. It could provide state aid to school districts and local governments and subsidy to businesses and welfare to people.

RationalWiki:How I found RationalWiki, 07:00, 22 November 2009[edit]

My entry:

*I found this site in the search results of a search engine. I then clicked the link to find out more. I was a science major, so I think I have this site’s point of view. The first page I found was the main page.--Chuck marean jr 16:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Bible interpolation, 11:21, 22 November 2009[edit]

In “Some early manuscripts (Matthew 16:2-3, Luke 22:43-44, 23:34),” I wrote two sentences, and included a reference. The sentences are partly based on my knowledge of how damaged the Dead Sea Scrolls:

Others claim that since important manuscripts included it, it is probable that it was included in the original text, but removed from an earlier copy for some reason, perhaps antisemitism or a damaged manuscript or a mistranslation found offensive. Another translation of the quote might be “The Father forgives them (the executioners); for they experience not what they do.”--Chuck marean jr 16:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Universal health care, 23:57, 22 November 2009[edit]

Updated this page and included a reference.

2009-2010 Health care legislation
An $848 billion Health care plan will be debated in the U.S. Senate after Thanksgiving, 2009. Its goal is to get 31 million Americans who don't have health insurance to get health insurance. Some senators strongly oppose the Medicare reform part of the bill because it would lower Medicare, increase bureaucrats, and increase taxes. Senator Reid wrote the first draft of the legislation, which the senators will be trying to improve, putting forth their various opinions. Some of the Republican Senators said the bill would not only increase taxes, it would increase medical costs and insurance premiums people would pay. The Senate bill came two weeks after the House passed its own version of the legislation to be sent to the White House. After Senate achieves a consensus, it will try to reconcile the two bills, to create a version for the President to consider. The bills create insurance exchanges for comparing coverage plans, including the lower Medicaid plan. They require medium and large employers pay for employee health insurance, either directly or by way of a tax. There also might be a tax on insurance or more taxes on the rich. The lowering of Medicare coverage would be a decrease of $400 billion. An easier way to bail out nearly bankrupt insurance companies could be grants via the Internal Revenue Service. The money could come from coining it rather than taxes, to keep business owners from raising prices, but for some reason the legislation doesn’t include that idea. -- CM,Jr U | T | C 00:05, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Essay:Evolution in Genesis, 10:15, 24 November 2009[edit]

On the morning of November 23, 2009 an article idea occurred to me. It was “Evolution in the Bible.” Since the Bible is thousands of pages, I decided to limit the subject to evidence of evolution given in the first book of the Bible, which is called Genesis. The Bible is the early history of Judaism and Christianity.

I spent the day reading Genesis in the New American Standard Bible. I realized the article would require numerous quotes to explain what proof there is that Genesis describes instances of evolution. The article at best would be original research. There are no secondary sources that I know of. I did not major in writing. I don’t know how I would find the secondary sources needed.

This is a biased interpretation of Genesis, from the goal finding descriptions of evolution in Genesis. I know that Darwin was some sort of Bible scholar, and therefore I think it’s possible he could have learned of natural selection while reading the Bible.

In chapter one of Genesis, the earth changed. It’s matter came closer together in space, and became wind and water, fog, clouds, and land. As plants grew, the stars, sun and moon became visible. Fish and birds originated in the sea and land animals originated in dirt. Man was like what made the animals in that he influenced them. Six changes began on specific days.

Chapter 2-9. Here, man’s decisions affect the next generations of men and of the animals. The first known zoo was founded by Adam’s parents. The zoo clipped the wings of it’s serpent. This dragon could speak perhaps as well as a parrot. Many generations later, Noah built a large ship to save the plants and animals, even the rats, from a large flood caused by the earth’s absorption of the moon’s atmosphere. A race of strong men, the Nephilim, did not survive.

Chapter 10-11. Many generations later, Nimrod founded Babel, a brick city which included a tower. Because its population grew, he founded other cities, including Nineveh. Because they were self-sufficient city states, they began to speak different languages.

Chapter 12-25. Some men were smarter leaders than others, and some women were more beautiful than others. Some armies won, and some armies did not survive at all. One army was lead by Abram. His grandson was Abraham. Abraham’s son, Isaac, found him and warned him of his adoptive father Abimelech’s approaching army. He also selected for his biological relatives in Sodom, warning them also. After Abraham remembered his son, he put him in his will and arranged for him to marry his cousin, a form of natural selection.

Chapter 26-35. Isaac’s younger son Jacob ran away and married two of his cousins and their maids. His first wife had more children than his other wives. Jacob’s uncle said he could own the sheep and goats that were not totally white. So, Jacob wouldn’t let the white sheep mate or the white goats mate. After his uncle’s sons found out about it, he ran away. He brought along his family, livestock and others loyal to him. He founded the tribe of Israel, following Adam’s motto “Work and Mate.”

Chapter 36-50. Jacob’s son Joseph went to jail in Egypt. He became Egypt’s Secretary of Agriculture because of a dream. He saved his father and brothers from a famine by talking King Rameses into allowing the tribe to camp in the land of Goshen, the best grazing land in Egypt.

In conclusion, the book of Genesis may be interpreted as teaching Evolution. It illustrates biological terminology which I don’t remember.

Categories[edit]

It ain't necessary to add a category until there's something to go in it, you know. I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:01, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

May as well follow open directory categories--

Stop it, please. I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:15, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
You do realise that I'm deleting them as fast as you create them? I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:21, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Then put these in too: . This is for a good "Category:Categories" --

We don't need 'em. "Shopping"? I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:32, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

You , er, seem to be having trouble getting your edits to "stick"[edit]

Any relation[edit]

wp:User_talk:Chuck_Marean? I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:29, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

I rather suspect so. I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:31, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Myself. There's nothing wrong with planning the top-level categories. I think it would be good for them to be based on the Open Directory Project categories as well as the Roget's Thesaurus top-level categories. If you decided to override your veto, go ahead and ad the categories. See section above. Bye.--

We're NOT an encyclopaedia so we don't need to cover the universe of categories. Bye! I am eating Toast& honeychat 09:53, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

I think you have a relation to more than one wiki. Just my 2 points. ConservapediaEditor 21:42, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
