We don't usually make redirects from obscure individuals' last names. Thanks. PowderSmokeAndLeather: Say something once, why say it again?. 19:11, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Is Szasz really all that obscure? Dmitri Szasztakovich (talk) 19:35, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Don't know, don't care. But we really don't do last-name redirects for anyone. Thanks. PowderSmokeAndLeather: Say something once, why say it again?. 19:50, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Except Dawkins, Hitler, Lenin, Marx, etc.? (Not to imply anything by grouping them together; those are just the first redirects that came to mind.) People might remember a person's last name but not his first, so the redirect is useful. Also, he's unlikely to be confused with some other Szasz, so it doesn't hurt to have it redirect there.

- We should probably have more such redirects. E.g., who wants to type in Victor Stenger when Stenger will do? Might as well save people time. Dmitri Szasztakovich (talk) 19:57, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- I completely agree that we should. It's not like they weigh down the server - David Gerard (talk) 12:14, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
" RationalWiki:Redirects"[edit]
Fine, go ahead and make redirects for the last name of every person we have an article on. Start with the As.. But the article you created about redirects would probably be best off as a paragraph in one of our guidelines articles. We don't have a separate article on every little bit of bureaucracy. "Then today I checked Special:Contributions/Hipocrite and was disappointed to find that Hipocrite is still editing, prompting the thought, "Why couldn't it be that kind of person who kills himself instead?"[edit]
I am here to tell you that wishing death on a community member in a manner that is not clearly meant to be humorous is generally frowned upon. Please use your free will to refrain from being the kind of prick who does such a thing. Thank you. PowderSmokeAndLeather: Say something once, why say it again?. 19:29, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
