Your talk page is confusing[edit]

Your talk page is confusing. Now that we have dispensed with the pleasantries; I've got my eye on you. Don't think I won't know who is responsible if two of our moderators mysteriously disappear. Tielec01 (talk) 08:49, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

It would only take one mod though, as sterile is only a alternative until he accepts the position of mod. --Mikal 19:56, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Talkpage is fine, userpage is weird[edit]

That said, you look little like your picture. Consider changing the picture or yourself to better match your picture. Did not recognize you.

Anyways, why am I bothering? I don't know. What's your gripe with Burke? That's what I want to know.

Wow, I just re-read that and it seemed like a Cliff Johnson-ism--Just relax, and stay funny (talk) 01:09, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

It is a 3 year old picture afterall. & I don't have a gripe with Burke, it just was a fun time learning about him in school. Doesn't help that was my worst test grade since i was sick the day of the test >.> --Mikal 01:13, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
What class talks about Burke? I might have to take it three or four times.--Just relax, and stay funny (talk) 01:24, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
High School, AP Euro History, he was part of the big philosophy part. I think my intro to philosophy class mentioned him, i forget. --Mikal 01:25, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Bah! Useless! I'm very much out-of-high school! Anyways, so, yeah.--Just relax, and stay funny (talk) 01:36, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Past experience with you saying you'll work on not always tying something to the war crimes of world war 2 or other general terrible things have led me to not assume any kind of good faith from you. Congratulations.--MikallakiM 22:14, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Why did you lock the Trilateral Commission article?[edit]

The documentation was perfectly valid.128.114.106.80 (talk) 05:38, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

How was the documentation not valid?128.114.106.80 (talk) 05:39, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
Because you choose to write it as justification of the conspiracy theory--MikallakiM 05:40, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
I didn't write it - though the documentation supports the conspiracy theory. Sorry, but the conspiracy theory is valid, as shown by the documentation.128.114.106.80 (talk) 05:41, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Annoying view of Africa[edit]

The entire thing, but the one i disliked the most: we are showing children in destitute areas and thus this implies Africans are children needing the white mans guiding hand and help. not, you know, the fact people tend to respond more when you show the problems of children. my problem is you assume the first reason is racism, just like with sexism. stop talking, just make content edits, you'll do far better here if you do--MikallakiM 23:16, 6 March 2013 (UTC)
It's irrelevant to something asking for aid money to show that some places are well off. --MikallakiM 00:39, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
"when there's something about Africa, and the first thing they show is a child."—when have you seen that? Also, a fairly large portion of Africa really is in poverty. Peter mqzp 00:40, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Confusing[edit]

It goes both ways. I mean, whose idea was it to start the year in winter? Peter mqzp 05:58, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

People who lived in climates that didn't freeze over in winter. --MikallakiM 06:04, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
It never freezes here, but it still wouldn't be a good idea. Peter mqzp 06:08, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
You got me wondering, so I went and dug into that. Unfortunately I now have more questions than answers. The answer to the above is that it was the Romans who set the current start of the year. I can see why they wanted to name the first month after Janus (From WP: ...had two faces, one looking forward and the other looking backward) but not why they decided the month was going to start nine days after the winter solstice. Starting on one of the solstices or equinoxes would have made a lot more sense (and the Romans certainly knew when they were). Christians tried to make it Mar 22 for quite a while, and the English only changed to Jan 1 in 1752. VOXHUMANA 06:09, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Didn't the Romans originally start the year in March (making October the eighth month etc)? Peter mqzp 06:21, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Speaking as a maltheist, "Goddidit" fits this case perfectly. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 06:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Yes, March was originally the first month in the Roman calendar... January was set as the first month around 450 BCE (I'm still not clear as to why), and Quintilus and Sextilus were later renamed July and August. VOXHUMANA 06:30, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
I once heard that the change was due to trying to set it to the birth of Jesus, but given the independent existence of Christmas I doubt that was it. Peter mqzp 06:38, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Well unless the Romans were incredibly prescient in 450 BCE, that seems seriously unlikely. VOXHUMANA 06:40, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Another issue is why, if January has been the first month for so long, leap year funny-business still happened to February and not December. Peter mqzp 06:49, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

Creating insane numbers of wikis with no plans to edit[edit]

I haven't even come close. For a great example of this though, there's Escyos.

He no longer works there because he quit because I supposedly collaborated with a troll who's fairly likely one of his victims. He also sent bogus copyright take down requests to remove the images he submitted. ఠ_ఠ Тод Зенос ан форфар фор 03:23, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Oversight[edit]

Why do you not want it to be used for its intended purpose? –Inquisitor Sasha 01:57, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

What did you want to 'oversight' anyway? Peter mqzp 02:48, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
An IP address I thought was mine, but it turned out not to be, so I decided not to press for oversight, but I find it odd that Mikal would oppose oversight when it was thought to be needed. –Inquisitor Sasha 03:58, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
Where did he say that? All I see is him saying that "that" shouldn't be hidden, but it's clear that you thought you meant something that nobody else realised. Peter mqzp 04:04, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

medium wiki domination[edit]

You need to start small and work your way up. First, make a dozen wikia wikis that nobody else edits, then move on to taking over small wikis whose admins have given up. You'll be a WP 'crat in no time. Peter mqzp 03:02, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

You were a Christian at one stage right? For some reason I thought you might even have been a creationist of some description? Are you still part of the two groups above? Tielec01 (talk) 01:48, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Sysop[edit]

So I realize you're an admin and all that, but when you revert people's edits, mind providing explanations in the summary? The undo automatic text is for vandalism-reversion, it's a courtesy to non-vandals to explain your opposition to their edits. Tyc (talk) 01:32, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
