Without too much partisan language?[edit]

"Comoedia humana. I value articles which are reserved and accurate without too much partisan language or misleading insinuations" - and yet your name is all over the highly partisan article about Sabine Hossenfelder. Calling people who like to hear what she says "strange" and referring to PZ Myers as a "blowhard." WTF? Pinkerite (talk) 18:44, 9 August 2025 (UTC)

I think "blowhard" was the kindest and politest possible name for the person I called a blowhard ("influencer" would be unkind since that person has a career outside of being angry on the Internet and posting pictures of spiders). People who like messages that science is fake tend to be populists and cranks, but "strange people" seemed polite. I did not use names like "Intellectual Dark Web grifter" in that article like you do on your website, and I did not pick sides in the fight about her 2023 video on trans people. In my experience, arguments between celebrities in public like that are more about status and power than the nominal issue. Without paying to access transcripts of her recent videos or exploring her social media, I don't know if she is angling for a career as a "rogue scientist," or is just bitter and naive (but I did document her connection to Robin Hanson like you noticed her connections to the IDW). I do not consent to discuss these characters and my past encounters with them further in public.Polydamas (talk) 04:42, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
I never claimed I wanted to avoid partisanship on my blog, while you did here, so unlike you, I am not a hypocrite. But you aren't only partisan, you lied about Myers and Watson, calling them former skeptics. On top of that, you're a terrible writer. All your articles should be vetted carefully, not only those about living people. Pinkerite (talk) 06:19, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
