2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Anita Sarkeesian and Gamergate[edit]

It is very hard to argue that Sarkeesian's criticisms have nothing to do with sexism, and very hard to argue that Gamergate, as a movement, doesn't hold anti-female, anti-LGBT, and anti-transgender views. If you feel that there is another legitimate criticism of Sarkeesian, add it in the legitimate criticisms section -- but I should warn you, that most of the points you raised have already been rebutted elsewhere on the website. Do you have a source for that (Tumblr doesn't count)? Also, I showed you two examples of cause for her legitimate criticism, so add it. Oh, wait. You can't. Neither can I, since editing was blocked. Fantastic. --UnidentifiedHuman721 (talk) 17:04, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
