So...[edit]

...you're actually contributing in a useful way. one of these may make that easier. and for the love of crumbcake, put a little sump'n on your user page and get rid of the red. Hope all is well with your fine self...TheoryOfPractice 22:29, 3 April 2009 (EDT)

I must confess, I've never read the sysop guide. Just use 'em commonsense. Sterilewalkie-talkie 22:31, 3 April 2009 (EDT)
Speaking of red links... a lot that you've made on your user page will probably never be RW articles... can you remove a few? ħumanUser talk:Human 21:56, 6 April 2009 (EDT)
I notice you tend to ignore comments and questions on your talk page. I will take the apologetic liberty of stripping out the more unlikely red links, so they won't be on "wanted pages". Because we don't actually "want" them. Thank you for your time. ħumanUser talk:Human 22:31, 7 April 2009 (EDT)
"deleting vandalism to user page" is a bit extreme. Do you relate to other people, or are you just a wiki voguer? You were active between my post above and my action, and I "apologized for the intrusion". ħumanUser talk:Human 23:57, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

No snark?[edit]

What the fuck happened to RW? Did it turn into CP?

Pay no attention to him. I reverted the reversion. And the Emperor seems to think you're CUR, which I believe not to be the case. TheoryOfPractice 13:17, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
Thank you TheoryOfPractice. My policy on edit wars is to run away from them, sort of like Dick Cheney and Vietnam. Xena 13:18, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
Well, I figure you have More Important Things To Do. TheoryOfPractice 13:20, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
After review of your contribs, I find you are regrettably not in violation of the 90/10 rule.</joke> Sorry, though. The edit to Lycantripy set off my CURdar. The EmperorKneel before Zod! 13:52, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
I deleted a few of the more tired jokes (come on, regurgitating Jeff Foxworthy is so, what, 80s?) you added to some state articles, I hope you aren't offended. Also, can you please, if possible, link things you add? ħumanUser talk:Human 23:29, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
I also deleted a lot more of your lamer edits. I no longer care if you are offended. You insert random tripe in articles with no concern for their flow. No wonder a lot of it disappears shortly thereafter. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:06, 9 April 2009 (EDT)

Spartacus?[edit]

This Spartacus? ĵ₳¥ášÇ♠ʘ is writing a comment 21:10, 5 April 2009 (EDT)

Thanks for the cartoon Javascap it was funny. 22:41, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

Lebensraum[edit]

Hi Xena--I vaped the above-mentioned page because 1. it ain't that funny and 2. "Lebensraum" touches a little close to making a cheap joke about the Holocaust, kinda. Is there some sub-reference between Hitler's designs on Eastern Europe and hot girl-on-girl action that I'm not getting? If so, feel free to override me....TheoryOfPractice 10:04, 7 April 2009 (EDT)

Nothing sinister there, there is no lebensraum article so I pointed it to lesbian to be punny, and I would do the same thing for a Lebanon article. 09:37, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Editing my user page?[edit]

So much for the RationalWiki principle that our user pages are involate. I can see deleting something offensive, but eliminating redlinks that I intend to turn into articles later is just tidiness to the point of being anal

1. I asked above about this, hours ago, you were editing, and did not reply. 2. Many of those "topics" (Oprah Winfrey???) would not likely ever be articles that we want. Also, you linked to "Global War on Terror" and "Global War on Terrorism". So STFU and get over yourself. I have had to clean up/delete half your dumb edits over the last few days - do you even read articles before inserting your random comments? More importantly, do you ever respond to talk page comments regarding your editing? And far less important, why aren't you using your previous usernames? ħumanUser talk:Human 00:02, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
I should make a Fun:User:Human Quote Generator script. I just need a bit more material. 00:07, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
Surely my eighty-bazillion edits, and edit comments, here should make it an easy task? (PS, go ahead, I'm not bothered or against the idea at all - it's fair play). ħumanUser talk:Human 00:15, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

An apology[edit]

Dear Xena,

When I find myself typing "I had to fix [or whatever] half of her [hundreds of] edits, I am guilty of seeing the glass half-empty instead of half-full. Implicit in my whinge is that you have also made [50's of] edits that were amusing, constructive, RW-friendly, etc. and I am sorry for seeing things inside-out. I hope you will briefly consider that I may have been on the wrong side of the Looking Glass. That is all. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:27, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Thank you, Human, it is encouraging to see I am not being targeted with intractable (and irrational) animosity. 09:00, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

calvary[edit]

Christians are opposed to feminism because in a way Calvary was the ultimate legal reform. Afterwards there was no longer "male and female" but we are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28). -- Could you explain to me your use of "Calvary" here? I only know term as a place. It's an interesting point, but its lost to non Christians.--Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"«Her intense and pure religiousness took the form of her having equal faith in the existence of another world and in the impossibility of comprehending it in terms of earthly life. V.Nabokov» 11:10, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Calvary is Christianese for the death of Christ, which ended the necessity of performing repeated animal sacrifices for sin with a final human-god sacrifice. I suppose if Walla Walla State Penitentiary botched an execution so badly that it became the cause célèbre which led to the abolishment of the death penalty in the US, people would speak of pre and post "Walla Walla" not so much as a place but an event. 12:16, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

New Edits - slow down and consider what you are saying more?[edit]

Don't take this wrong, everyone edits in their own way, and everyone's sense of the world is different, but I feel as if I'm running around behind you reading your edits and saying a lot of "what the hell?" It's as if you want to put as much of yourself into as many articles as possible which is great, except that the comments are often very haphazard, only tangentially topical, and often don't really fit into the tone of any given wiki article. Maybe you could slow down, reread what you have to say on each article, see if it makes sense in the context of the article and with the tone of the overall article. Or, choose to really up the snark when it's snarky, so we can clearly see the goat. I am a headache to many here, cause I suck at spelling, and my grammar has lots of errors - so they have to follow me with a mop and bucket to clean up, so I do try to take my time. I just think that maybe slowing down would help us all! :-) --Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"«Her intense and pure religiousness took the form of her having equal faith in the existence of another world and in the impossibility of comprehending it in terms of earthly life. V.Nabokov» 18:08, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, you roll back my edits wholesale, other folks edit my own User Page, makes me feel real welcome. 20:38, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
"One never has to accept the dull with the shiny." We've kept the shiny stuff. By the way, how come your sig takes up three long lines of screenspace? You might want to stick it in a sub-template... ħumanUser talk:Human 21:50, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
I'm sorry, didn't we roll out the red carpet for you to walk in on? - User 20:45, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
I know it's a wiki, you can edit my stuff mercilessly to your hearts' content, but Ayn Rand said, "Don't support your own destroyers." 21:28, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
That quote might be a bit more meaningful if Ayn Rand wasn't a paranoid anti-socialist (to the point of attributing racism with collectivism on several occasions), homophobe, and ignoramus who opposed racism but favored business' rights to discriminate. Atlas Shrugged sucked pretty hard too. --e|m|c [TALK] 21:35, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
The wonderful thing about being free is that you can take the best and chuck the rest. There are good ideas everywhere you look, even in religious texts, and one never has to accept the dull with the shiny. 21:40, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
There are good ideas in which religious text? --e|m|c [TALK] 21:42, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
Master Je Tzu taught that the first would be last, and the last first, and the greatest would be the servant of all. He taught that it is better to take a lower position and be exalted, than to presumptuously take the higher position and be asked to step down in shame. Master Lao Tzu said it was through the sage's selflessness that she is able to perfect herself. The essence of Master Je Tzu's gospel is that we are called to put the selfish, sinful, imperfect ego to death, and allow Master Je Tzu to live within us for the sanctification of our soul. 21:52, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
Hey! Mr. Owl! How many bong hits does it take to understand this drivel? --e|m|c [TALK] 21:58, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

I find the Wise Master Sun Tzu, and to a lesser extent T'ai Kung's writings to be of infinitley more value the Je Tzu or Laozi(which is the proper spelling). The EmperorKneel before Zod! 21:56, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Master Sun Tzu's work is translated as "The Art of War" but a more accurate translation of the characters used is "War the Way Water Flows". It is of course heavily influenced by the Tao Te Ching but the work is used by Confucianists to impose their statecraft on the unwilling "by other means", which probably has ol' Sun Tzu rolling in his grave. 22:04, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Xena, get fucking clue please. We don't capitalize every damn word in headers. You are beginning to piss me off. ħumanUser talk:Human 23:44, 8 April 2009 (EDT)

Beginning? Been there, done that... I don't understand half your edits, Xena, nor do I think the humor is usually funny. I'm not sure what your point is, but it's getting old really fast.--Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"«Her intense and pure religiousness took the form of her having equal faith in the existence of another world and in the impossibility of comprehending it in terms of earthly life. V.Nabokov» 23:59, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
I was "working" (on the wiki). Then I was a bit frustrated. Then I lashed out. Then I apologized. Then a new day came. And it brought nothing new. Now I am beginning to get pissed off. Xena, as I said in an earlier comment further up, is just an egomaniac, which is amusing considering her quoting of Buddhist commentators above. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:02, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
What's odd, is she is clearly educated (at least on religious topics), but then writes it as such crap. It sounds worse than Foucault stuff. like "2008 Rand study on how terrorists terminate". That use of terminate is just enough off you go, HUH? --Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"«Her intense and pure religiousness took the form of her having equal faith in the existence of another world and in the impossibility of comprehending it in terms of earthly life. V.Nabokov» 00:14, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
Yes. She strikes me as an achristian, but she is also knowledgeable on other topics. Cleaning up/integrating her edits is hard work. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:20, 9 April 2009 (EDT)
