Category talk:Tenets of Fascism
@Jakester499 what’s the point of this category? I don’t think we need a category for everything that a fascist believed in at some point, which seems to be your criteria for adding this to a page.
I won’t to delete it without discussion, but I’ll probably nominate it for deletion at some point. Christopher (talk) 19:06, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think there's any hope for this category. GeeJayK (talk) 19:17, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Perhaps it's not such a bad idea since the concept of fascism is somewhat fluid and hard to define — it helps to put some boundaries on it. Bongolian (talk) 19:34, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- I’d argue that’s why it’s a bad idea. Look at all the articles in it at the moment, antiziganism is not a tenet of fascism just because the Nazis supported it, and Mussolini (although he was of course a racist) rejected racialism, as do a lot of fascists that don’t bother pretending to support science. - The Usatse and the Legionaires supported anti ziganism--Jakester499 (talk) 20:42, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Many of the pages that are being added in this category aren't tenets in my opinion. They're just totalitarian methods, and methods aren't tenets by a dictionary definition. GeeJayK (talk) 19:56, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Jakester499 this is getting ridiculous. Are you going to add this category to every page on the wiki? I’d delete this right now if @Bongolian hadn’t stood up for it. Christopher (talk) 20:01, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Mussolini & Franco embraced racialism[edit]
While widespread racialism and antisemitism wasn’t practiced on an official level until 1938, Mussolini repeatedly referred to racialist ideas https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Fascism_and_racism — Unsigned, by: Jakester499 / talk / contribs
- I don’t see a single mention of racialism in the linked article, but that’s not the point. Why does this category exist? Christopher (talk) 20:06, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

- Never mind, I’m too much of a pacifist to do anything and I’m afraid of confrontation so I’m leaving this category up to the mobocracy.--Jakester499 (talk) 20:09, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

I’m no longer going to be editing this category unless given permission otherwise[edit]
Don’t like confrontation, can’t defend opinions that well. I recall Mussolini referring to the Italians as the aryan race but that was from a Wikipedia article. Without a doubt before 1938 Mussolini was racist, a good example of this is the Libyan Pacification and the Italian-Abyssinian War. Racialism is little more than a thinly veiled pseudoscience used to justify already existing racial prejudices and bigotry. The category was meant to be totally all encompassing, and much more than a generalized layout by also explaining the logical fallacies, cognitive biases, and psychological/psychodynamic mechanisms behind fascist ideology. However if the mobocracy does not like this category I will proudly hand all control of this category over to the mobocracy so that they can come up with a more streamlined category. If the sysops admins think I could contribute more and give me permission then I will but I don’t have enough faith in my own skill to effectively manage this category. --Jakester499 (talk) 20:20, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Proposed Move:Move this Category from Tenets of Fascism to Tenets and Methods of Fascism[edit]
Just what it says on the tin. That way it’s more specific and more clear what this category encompasses--Jakester499 (talk) 20:37, 22 March 2021 (UTC) First I need permission from the mobocracy, because of my aforementioned promise. Please respond as soon as possible. Love, --Jakester499 (talk) 20:38, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Other things to do with category[edit]
We could divide into “Argumentation Styles of Fascist/Authoritarian/Totalitarian thinking, I can’t think of anything else mind is completely blank but you get the idea--Jakester499 (talk) 20:40, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
This is a bad category[edit]
None of the articles that this category was previously added to are exclusive to fascism. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 01:25, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- But is the category even meant to be a list of components exclusive to fascism? I mean, an authoritarian regime isn't unique to fascism but it's still a defining component of it. --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 01:33, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Reviving talk in order to make a clearer definition of fascism[edit]
As mentioned above, but this time as streamlined as possible. What you think siblings? Also part of the reason was to make a checklist but I’ll just use sandbox or essay space for that. The pastaboo remark is about me or anyone being immune to propaganda. I to make sure I haven’t become my own worst enemy. Need to plan out edits and contributions as much as possible.--Jakester499 (talk) (contributions) 21:06, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
