Keep[edit]
- Not the best article but not a three-like stub, not completely off-mission. Christopher (talk) 17:45, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- Given rationale is too vague. Has cited sources, and topic is clearly notable since Marx himself saw it as a problem that could divide his "revolution". That being said, this article would need more criticisms in it though, as I think even many of our most leftist of editors might agree that this is a crank idea. --Goatspeed. - Let me get this straight: Anything that deviates too much from your precious liberal centrism is a "crank idea?" Thanks, I'll make sure to note that next time on why no one takes liberals seriously anymore. Menace (talk) 18:13, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

- Nah, the non-Crank ideas are fairly widespread across the political spectrum, as are the Crank ones. The demarcation between "Crank" and "non-Crank" is when the person promotes the idea when there is either minimal evidence for it working or a large amount of evidence against the idea that the person ignores or actively tries to refute. Note that the idea itself doesn't have to be a "Crank" idea; there are indeed some strong arguments against nuclear power but most of the anti-nuke side is made up of Cranks who don't understand the whole issue, likewise the Thorium fanboys can come across as a bunch of Cranks in spite of the theories behind Thorium being reasonable. - Not a high quality article, but not exactly terrible. CorSock (talk) 19:13, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- Interesting historical concept, with at a glance it's own fair share of crankery. Obvious keep. Techpriest (I am Alpharius! / / / ) 21:56, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- The Bolchevik party had the Right Opposition and the Left Opposition. Although I agree that there are more important articles than this one, I don't think it's useless. GeeJayK (talk) 18:54, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

- A redundant name, enough said. Merge with the main article on communism. MarioSuperstar77 (talk) 19:12, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- The name sounds redundant if you’re not familiar with obscure communist factions, but left communism isn’t just a slightly wordier way of saying “communism”, it’s a fully fledged political ideology. Christopher (talk) 19:26, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Not familiar with the subject whatsoever, but from comments, I get the impression that this is a crank idea. But as a layperson, I struggle to see such substantial criticisms raised. Needs oversight to ensure the article progresses in a missional manner. Kauri0.o (talk) 22:46, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
