The not-rewrite project[edit]
Pages that I stare at with the incomprehension of the illiterate in order to not-rewrite this timeline:

- What do you want to know of the Loya Jirga, aka Lusty Jumbles? As the former historian of RationalWiki over at RWW, I can help answer what you have questions on. Gooniepunk (talk) 09:27, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm too tired to ask more than one (looks like I can't count to one) question right now. How did the Loya_Jirga end? What happened with the last LJ election that doesn't seem to have happened? Did the 2011 restructing end the office or was it some other 2011 thing? I'll leave larger questions about 2011 for a time when i'm more awake. SolPyre (talk) 09:33, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- By the way I get most of what I see on the listed pages, I was just amusing myself with self deprecation. The pages are listed mostly for easy access. SolPyre (talk) 09:40, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- The Lusty Jumbles was, essentially, created in response to persistent trolling by MarcusCicero and inability of the mob to come to a consensus on anything about how to deal with the situation. As a precursor to a system of moderation, TheoryOfPractice [Forum:Loya_Jirga proposed] a rudimentary system to try and clamp down on all the HCMs that were being caused by MarcusCicero and his supporters. From that, the idea of the Lusty Jumbles came into being. However, the power granted to the Lusty Jumbles was nowhere near what is granted to the moderators these days; sysoprevoke, for example, did not exist. Ultimately, the only things the Lusty Jumbles ever did were to vandalbin MarcusCicero and grant users the ability to remove trollish content from their talkpage. Beyond that, nothing ever came from the Lusty Jumbles and it was long defunct before the events on May, 2011 occurred. Gooniepunk (talk) 09:55, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- Any particular point at which LJ became defunct that I could add to time line? What was the reason behind Totnesmartin's resignation (if it was irl stuff then its not relevant)? Could you link me to the page where the LJs vbed MC (if you remember anything about where it is, I'm not asking you to do any grunt work finding it)? Also, any advice on how to (or wether to) indicate to the reader that the various accounts AH has had are all one person? That's all for now thanks for your help. SolPyre (talk) 21:48, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- The Lusty Jumbles, basically, just petered out; once they vandal-binned MC and made the rule about removing vile trolling on userpages, they gave themselves a pat on the back and went back to being symbolic only. I can't for the life of me remember why Totnesmartin resigned, and I seem to think the decisions they passed were passed via e-mail discussion (though I could be wrong, you may want to check the Lusty Jumbles's pages to be sure). Gooniepunk (talk) 02:51, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- My understanding is somebody attempted to get the Jirga running again for May 2011 and it just caused more fighting. --"Paravant" Talk & Contribs 03:29, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- The by-election his resignation caused explains it with a link to a deleted saloon bar revision, thats all I could find. (about Totnesmartin). SolPyre (talk) 03:49, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

- Just wondering; why "Loya Jirga"? Was there actually anything Jamaican about this dispute-resolving taskforce? 142.124.55.236 (talk) 02:55, 9 December 42015 AQD (UTC)
- IIRC, the answer lies in here somewhere. Gooniepunk (talk) 03:24, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Is this...[edit]
The first mention of our rather odd policy of keeping talkpages for deleted articles? If it is it's probably worth a mention. Christopher (talk) 08:25, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- Could be. Stabby's not officially LANCB'd (AFAIK); as such, he may even be able to recall (corroboratively) if this post of his was indeed the first mention of said policy. Good find, either way. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 08:36, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- The way it's phrased does make it seem like a suggestion but the lack of responses indicates it probably isn't the post that got it added into the community standards or anything else official. Given how long ago stabby made his last edit, I think it's safe to conclude he's LANCB. Christopher (talk) 09:08, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- That he's not currently around is a safe bet; but LANCB is different. Especially the "ANCB" part. All we know is that he's "L". Poke his talkpage — he just might reply, one day or the other. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 09:22, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

RW history mascot entry[edit]
Hello RationalWikians, I wonder if we should remove the Progress and Regress Pokemon from our timeline since this is not a major and defining event in the history of RW, considering we already have a mascot and the introduction of the Pokemon was unsolicited. ULTRACOMFY (talk) 19:03, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. Ioe bidome (talk) 19:20, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
