Talk:Jaclyn Glenn
Topic[edit]
"She has since given a half-assed apology admitting she did some wrong doing, but not really. Interestingly enough she hasn't even been prudent enough to delete the evidence of her plagiarism from her Facebook page which is available to see.[11]"
It's usually a thing of good faith not to destroy evidence, and it's only congruent with admitting the wrongdoing. Weird to see both things kind of phrased as incompatible or unexpectedly paired. — Unsigned, by: 201.43.42.130 / talk

Hostility towards trans people[edit]
I watched her videos and I don't see where she expressed any hostility towards trans people. She merely said she was not attracted to vagina and would not be willing to date a person who had one. She also flat out admitted her plagiarism was wrong and made a commitment not to do it going forward. To my knowledge she has kept this commitment. I'm wondering if this slanted and somewhat hostile article was written in good faith. — Unsigned, by: Foamhead / talk / contribs 14:40, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

- Oh please this section is hardly a hotbed for discussion. Grammarcommie never bothered to respond and apparently mods can protect their own articles when they don't like an edit. And this site has the nerve to mock Conservapedia for dogmatism and moderator overreach. He called my edit "whitewashing"... does he even know what the hell whitewashing means? Whatever. — Unsigned, by: Foamhead / talk / contribs 14:58, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Because it is whitewashing. You changed the wording, phrasing, and tone to reflect positively on the article's subject and strawmanned the opposing camp. Additionally despite what you might believe my attention is not fixed entirely on this matter at the moment, nor is this "my article" (today is the first time I've even noticed it, let alone edited it), nor am I a Mod. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 15:04, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

- Poor baby did I take away the butt-hurt from the article? "If you don't wanna bone a trans person than you're a homophobic bigot!" - As an occasional viewer of her material, I don't see too much wrong with the transphobia part. The article phrases it very subjectively as "some people interpret her views as trans-exclusionary" which is undeniably true. The list of viewpoints subsequently listed are often seen as transphobic by activists. My only issue is that the assertion that her information is "long debunked" should be elaborated upon, linked to another article, or cited within the article itself. As is, I understand if that part seems unnecessarily hostile and baseless. (Also, I added an image, but I'm sure that's not controversial.) - To be fair, she has actually defended trans rights in the past. For example, her responding to Hunter Avollone's transphobic video, sympathizing for a trans teen who committed suicide due to her Christian parents, and her defending Catilyn (Bruce at that time) Jenner from some TERFs. The section in question isn't even accurate. Since when is being born with a uterus, ovaries and a vagina not "biologically female"? Secondly Arielle Scarcella is not a self admitted transphobe, she said it in a mockign tone towards those who accused her of such because she wasn't attracted to penis. Isn't rationalwiki supposed to be "rational" and fact check? Link 1 Link 2 --— Unsigned, by: Foamhead / talk / contribs 02:04, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

- Ooh, is that a taunt? Should I feel scared? Or should I be irked that I have to clean up after you (again) like a dog that's pissed all over the floor? I think I'll go with option number three. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 15:34, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- @GrammarCommie This article says “Glenn teamed up with self-admitted transphobe Arielle Scarcella to attack Riley J Dennis and her girlfriend Fiona to the point where Fiona decided to shut down the channel”. Shouldn’t we also create an article about who Arielle Scarcella is? LuodiWang (talk) 00:25, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
