Can someone[edit]
Can someone develop a 'farrago' pun. 171.33.222.26 (talk) 15:14, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Scotland mob[edit]
Why is this particularly relevant? Osaka Sun (talk) 23:06, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
BBC[edit]
They seem to have a thing for Farage. he was on Have I Got News for You tonight. I didn't watch it. (Louise Mensch was on a while ago!) They (the BEEB) have contributed greatly to his renown and should be ashamed. The man's a charlatan. Scream!! (talk) 21:32, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- The BBC spend all their time making him look an idiot. His appearance on HIGNFY had him playing a game where they had to identify what level of insanity a particular UKip member was. When it got to Farage's turn, it was a trick answer and the UKip member he had to identify was simply a racist. For the rest of the season, Ian Hislop and the various guest hosts made jokes about him being a fraud (since he got into controversy over his EU expenses a day or two after the recording of his featured appearance). At one point they showed a BBC interview with Farage, where the interviewer spent his time demonstrating that Farage is a hypocrite. This was based around Farage having his foreign wife as his secretary, ruling that no British person was good enough to replace her.
- So, (tl;dr) the BBC isn't trying to get Farage elected. They're trying to ruin his career; it's just not working.-- 194.81.33.57 (talk) 06:41, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, believe me: the BBC doesn't need to ruin his career. Farage will eventually do it himself. Osaka Sun (talk) 06:52, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- I feel a little sorry for farage at times. Every time he insists ukip are not a bunch of racist sexist homophobic loons, another ukiper opens his mouth and farage must think 'oh for fucks sake' AMassiveGay (talk) 20:30, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
- As the numbers of racist sexist homophobic loons keeps growing it gets harder to call them loonies. Eventually their concerns will have to be addressed or else.145.64.134.245 (talk) 08:21, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Says the BoN who denies the Holocaust and measles. Well thanks for your input. ScepticWombat (talk) 07:58, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Pronunciation[edit]
The fact is, if you have a name that visually rhymes with 'garage' it's going to get pronounced all three ways. If you heard him on the BBC, not long before the election, saying he didn't mind which, that section looks rather silly. Ro Thorpe (talk) 01:47, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was crap. I've deleted it. WēāŝēīōīďMethinks it is a Weasel 01:50, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! Ro Thorpe (talk) 01:53, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Put it back. The "faraj" bit is commonplace here - David Gerard (talk) 07:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Removed again. Farage didn't "adopt a pseudo-French version of his surname". He has a French surname passed down by his French ancestors. ₩€₳$€£ΘĪÐMethinks it is a Weasel 08:26, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Mocking someone for having "vagina" or similar in their name seems pretty puerile. The 'funny' word being from a completely unrelated language makes it even more "Sure, whatever" to me. Do we mock Asian people for having "Ho" or "Wang" in their names? (Well, some people probably do I guess.) >.> 141.134.75.236 (talk) 00:34, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

- From what I remember of Have I Got News For You, he prefers the "Fər-āhzhe" pronunciation; they in turn mocked him by introducing him as "Niggle Faridge". Unless you want to joke that he's Niggle Faridge as an introduction, I don't think there's much use in the section.-- Forerunner (talk) 09:24, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- There are plenty of good reasons for treating Farage with scorn, but having a foreign name that could be pronounced multiple ways seems like a pretty shit one. WẽãšẽĩõĩďMethinks it is a Weasel 17:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
A chorus of disapproval[edit]
Farage disapproves of Donald Trump's latest outburst - is he (a) slightly less wingnut or (b) different 'islands of wingnuttery' complaining about each other? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 15:43, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- He called it "perhaps for him a political mistake too far". This is a dog-whistle to sound to his fans like he's critiquing Trump's tactics rather than his views - David Gerard (talk) 15:52, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- A case of pot and kettle?
So does NF think there are acceptable political mistakes? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 16:15, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Twit or tweet[edit]
Farage is a cad, not a twit. He is also a tweet, in which, as noted in today's Independent, he calls for the UK to remain in the EU. Ro Thorpe (talk) 16:52, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- Fair enuogh, and i'm not familiar enough with him to argue against you, but he always struck me as something of a twit (but i guess he does smoke and drink in a way that isn't quite proper). My own understanding of British stereotypes is lacking, i guess. Petey Plane (talk) 16:59, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
- He belongs in the position formerly occupied by, among others Dennis Thatcher - 'rightwing politically incorrect old buffer who drinks.' 109.153.102.202 (talk) 13:11, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- I think he's a twat above all. Laurogeita Hamabost (talk) 14:43, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

- He 'wins' the referendum and hasn't a clue what to do.
- The country is patchwork divided, but he doesn't say how can we deal with this?
- The vote goes 51-48 his way and, despite saying that he and his would cause disruption if it was a close vote Remain, tells the Remain voters to just accept it.
- He remains an MEP.
- He quits rather than work things through. 82.44.143.26 (talk) 16:17, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Quotation[edit]
'They create a wasteland and call it peace.' 86.145.120.132 (talk) 21:53, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- more like "peace, i'm out!" Petey Plane (talk) 22:40, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- Another quote 'All mouth, no trousers' (there being other versions with the same intent). 82.44.143.26 (talk) 18:27, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Where's he gone?[edit]
It is not that the 'remains' were bad losers - it is that the 'exits' were bad winners and told the remains to just accept it, and NF faffed off/went skiving rather than finish what he started. 85.115.54.202 (talk) 17:34, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Trumping Trump[edit]
Nowt about the Farage-Trump love in yet? 82.44.143.26 (talk) 14:29, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
"Can't Barrage The Farage!"[edit]
