Welcome back[edit]
Welcome back, Bicycle Wheel. Hope you stick around. ЩєазєюіδMethinks it is a Weasel 18:45, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- If the endless politics shitefest is finally over, I may well. Sanders was a good potential candidate but the Cult Of Bernie That Will Hear No Wrong Of Him got on my tits. Bicyclewheel 18:53, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I haven't been following it very closely (either on or off RW). WeaseloidMethinks it is a Weasel 18:58, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Archiving[edit]
Thank you for that. Sir ℱ℧ℤℤϒℂᗩℑᑭƠℑᗩℑƠ (talk/stalk) 16:07, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- I don't like waiting for the bots to archive stuff. Half they time they don't work anyway, and it's sometimes best to move old arguments out of sight to pre-empt any idiots wanting to pick at the scars. Bicyclewheel 19:24, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
Nomination for RationalMedia board election[edit]
You've been nominated to the RationalMedia Foundation election. Please accept or decline here; if you accept, you may wish to campaign.

Last February[edit]
We tried to have a board election, and then everyone absolutely forgot about it. RW in action ;) Cømяade FυzzчCαтPøтαтø (talk/stalk) 20:36, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yep. i just removed those old sigs because it looked weird and confusing. Bicyclewheel 20:38, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
The majority of the world's people world can peacefully choose their government, because liberals.[edit]
It's that damn people world, choosing our government. Sir ℱ℧ℤℤϒℂᗩℑᑭƠℑᗩℑƠ (talk/stalk) 15:51, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
Creating a RationalWikiWiki space and moving those pages out of userspace[edit]
Thoughts? We'd have to annoy DG until he changed the MediaWiki table. FᴜᴢᴢʏCᴀᴛPᴏᴛᴀᴛᴏ, Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 00:11, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- I've pestered different generations of RWers about creating new spaces for years, and people just aren't that interested. To most, it's just a filing problem and it's too much faff. I'm a lot less involved/invested than I used to be (and I try to accept that when I lose an argument, it's over), and you (I'm sorry to say) have become known as "that guy who keeps suggesting stupid changes." So new spaces aren't going to happen, I think. Sorry about that. Bicyclewheel 18:48, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- *shrug* Everything you say sounds about right. This great injustice shall remain, for now. oʇɐʇoԀʇɐϽʎzznℲ (talk/stalk) 16:31, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- I would actually like to see the return of the RWW.--JorisEnter (talk) 12:07, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- What's the suggestion? What's RWW really mean? Admittedly a glance, anything called "RationalWikiWiki" sounds nightmarishly clunky and confusing. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 12:27, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- RWW was the RW Metawiki and hosted many fine histories of our early drama. Herr FüzzyCätPötätö (talk/stalk) 20:58, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- The suggestion is basically to move everything in Category:RationalWikiWiki into a new RationalWikiWiki: namespace. There were also several rival incarnations of RationalWikiWikiWiki but let's not go there. Bicyclewheel 21:03, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Seriously?[edit]
Thanks for adding that whataboutist waffle to the WIGO entry on the murder of the transgender woman in Turkey. That is soooo helpful. /sarcasm. 122.62.156.72 (talk) 10:20, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
- well if you're going to blame Islam for transphobia, you have to explain transphobia in non-islamic countries - and the fact that it's not illegal in the Islamic Republic of Iran. that is, it's a cultural problem, rather than one stemming from a particular religion. But feel free to assume that anything bad about a majority Muslim country is because of Islam. Bicyclewheel 15:00, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

- That's a gross misrepresentation of BW's post. They argue that blanket statements aren't valid for Islam (and presumably for any religion) and that homophobia isn't necessarily because of Islam (and presumably because of any religion). This isn't a defense of Islam, nor of Iran, but of nuance. Sir ℱ℧ℤℤϒℂᗩℑᑭƠℑᗩℑƠ (talk/stalk) 18:00, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- More religious people tend to hate gays more. And the more powerful religion is politically, the worse this gets. And currently Islam is politically powerful in more countries than any other religion. another Jewish conspiracy by (((Laurogeita Hamabost))) (talk) 18:18, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Archive bot[edit]
I set it up to run automatically and forgot about it. Apparently it borked a few days ago. Apologies -- will run manually. Sir ℱ℧ℤℤϒℂᗩℑᑭƠℑᗩℑƠ (talk/stalk) 18:17, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
- Perhaps you could set up an uberbot to check the status of other bots :) (please don't actually do that). While we're on the topic, what do you think of the idea to strip out all priority ratings? Bicyclewheel 18:21, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

Something to spruce up the autumn years[edit]
- I profusely apologise for your advanced state of deterioration. If it's any comfort, this investigative report segment on Death could perhaps bring you a smile. Especially the part around 0:40 should lighten the load. All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 22:04, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

- They ended up muuuuch longer than that, but they had to go as I could hardly do anything. I was typing with my knuckles. However, that itchy spot in that one part of your back you can never reach without dislocating your shoulder? ahhh.... Bicyclewheel 22:10, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- An artist's conception of what nails that length does to computer work. Also, I gotta say, I'm jealous of the scratching potential. That description made me shudder from spine-tingling pleasure. I used to be able to have that type of surgically precise back scratching done to me at my leisure. Then my girlfriend regained her composure and turned into my ex. Now, I'm stuck using a broom handle. I'm in hell. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 22:18, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

- I am now longer EUI, and I would like to just say that I'm for sorry if I came off as
an immature assclownlewd and inappropriate. It's fun talking to you, and — for the record — I have the utmost respect for all the work you've put in on the site during your long time here. It utterly dwarfs anything I have ever done for RW (so far), and I'll do all I can to try and accomplish even half as much good as you have on the site over the coming years. Hats off to you, and forgive an old absurdist. All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 06:48, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

De-Rating Articles[edit]
Hello, is there any reason why you started removing the {{rated}} template from articles' talkpages? CheeseburgerFace (talk) 14:09, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- They were in funspace (and a few in userspace or essays), which wasn't what article rating was meant for. Bicyclewheel 18:28, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
