- Thanks I'm still trying to figure out how the mechanics work; I have long supported the idea of wikis in the abstract, but actually contributing to one is like turning a mathematical theorem into a working bit of C++ code - I could use a conceptual equivalent to Numerical Recipes FriendlyScientist (talk) 09:39, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

When starting a new conversation on another user's talk page, use the "add topic" button at the top, not the "new archive" button some users have. That's for recording old conversations.
