User Stats[edit]
Hi, I hope you approve the changes I've done to Conservapedia:Active_users and RationalWiki_talk:Active_users. I don't know why you've banned yourself - is it some kind of vacation ? - but I'd like to hear of you when you are back again... --LArron 21:26, 1 November 2008 (EDT)
Re:Reversion[edit]
I feel bad now. The "sceptic-->skeptic thing was dumb, ethnocentric, and churlish. It was 4:00 AM, and I was running the Evolution article through the Microsoft Word Spellchecker, and it showed "sceptic" as misspelled, so naturally my mind jumped to the other definition of sceptic, even though I've seen "sceptic" in print with that definition hundreds of times before. So, to to you, and to the rest of the English speaking world: I'm sorry. I feel like a jerk.
On a related--but no less embarassing--note, I tried to revert the article to what it was before you reverted in order to save my more legitimate copyedits (I was planning on changing k to c afterwards). Unfortunately, I am too incompetent to make a proper reversion. So, if you were wondering why I reverted myself three times, this is why.
In conclusion:I am thoroughly unfit for sysopship! Yet, I was promoted within several days of joining the site. This is as much a mystery to me as I'm sure it is to you.
Speaking of embarassment, I just realized that I don't really know the definition of "churlish". Perhaps I should look words up before I include them in my sentences. A Writer of Vaudevilles 08:15, 7 December 2008 (EST)
- My revesion of you skeptic/sceptic edit was purely that, your other edits were unchanged. It is possible to undo an earlier edit if it hasn't been alteredby a later change. Some people have taken a decisively American or Commonwealth attitude to spelling but by and large we get along with a mixture of the two. People with generally good intentions are awarded sysopship here so that they can help keep the place clean, usualy no special skill is involved. What do you mean by the oher definition of "sceptic" - are you thinking of "septic"? BTW far too many of us edit at 4.00 AM, it's probably not good for any of us unless we happen to be involved with shift-work. ГенгисYou have the right to be offended; and I have the right to offend you. 08:25, 7 December 2008 (EST)
- I just noticed that. And I just realized that septic is spelled with only one "c". This whole incident has not exactly done wonders for my self esteem. Let me tell you this-it is a damn good thing (for me, anyway) that there aren't any WIGO sites up and running that cover RW. I think I'm going to go rest now. Sorry to bother you.
- P.S. I think your "It has been _ hours since this page was last edited" script thing is broken or something. It says "2 hours" right now, and we both know that's not true. A Writer of Vaudevilles 08:33, 7 December 2008 (EST)
- Before telling AWoV in a stern tone to get to bed, I should admit that many Americans do use the 'k' spelling. Noah Webster really opened a can of worms trying to reform the English language. And for your information there is a site that monitors what goes on here although but as it is not very active I doubt that it will highlight your edits. (It's mainly done by people who are annoyed with other editors here and can make off-site snarky comments.) I wouldn't worry too much about the spelling issue we are much more easy going here. As for my "last edited" function, it's a Media-wiki problem, I've been trying to get the boss to implement a work round but it's all to do with what is known as "MAGIC WORDS" not being implemented properly (and it doesn't work on Wikipedia either}. Now get to bed. ГенгисYou have the right to be offended; and I have the right to offend you. 08:46, 7 December 2008 (EST)

Are you serious?[edit]
'Boring repetitve revisions to established articles'? So you consider the text of certain articles (even if bad) to be sacred and only edited by a certain group of people? Gee, that's just what CP does, except that they're more honest in actually locking most of the articles.
Or do you really think that Greenhouse effect is better with the vague statement 'sometimes connected with the ozone layer' rather than a more accurate sentence? Fall down

- In fact, given that we make sysops at the drop of a hat (or at least following, perhaps, five comprehensible edits) it would be quite easy for anybody to become a sysop. Frankly I'm surprised that none of Fall Down's socks have yet made it. It would be easy enough. (or perhaps they have)--Bobbing up 17:57, 12 December 2008 (EST)

That IP who removed that content form the WIGO CP talk was me, the archivie is in number 117. Just letting you know before I re-archive it. ĴαʊΆʃÇä₰ In Soviet Russia, the foul Playstation lathers YOU!
- I thought the archive was too much too soon. TIGO:CP is our most active page and cutting back too far removes a lot of active threads. Not everyone gets to read it everyday and cutting back to 20K doesn't leave much for the less frequent visitor. My rule of thumb is to wait until about 150K-180K then archive back to 50K-60K which ususally has enough to make a diverting read. - TK has also claimed to several people that you are User:Fox (ex-CP Sysop, now banned from CP). Since the editing style of all 3 are so dissimilar, I dismissed the notion as unfounded. However who knows what the weaker minds at CP believe. lol. I think TK just casts suspicions on people he dislikes, and tries to tie them to RW users, for whatever reason known only to himself. Help Please[edit]
Genghis
I need your help - I blocked 'I'm Flying' who was doing his usual vandalism moving pages to unfunny names but I don't know how to revert the damage. I've tried 'undo' and 'rollback' but neither seems to work and I don't want to end up doing more damage. As I'm not too clever on this Wiki stuff can you advise?
Thanks
