Hi, the real TomMoore? (Editor at) CP:no intelligence allowed 18:30, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yup.--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 18:31, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- Nice job over at CP. Expect to be blocked over there in 5,4,3,2 . . . Exasperate me!Sheesh! Not the most impressive contributor here 18:33, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
Sorry about your CP experience, you got treated even worse than usual. NightFlareSpeak, mortal 18:34, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- I took it for as long as I could, figuring if I could help provide some ounce of balanced perspective, not giving in one inch to their nonsense while still being civil, that I would be doing some good. But I'm only human, and a guy can only take so much. I have been reading RW for a while, ever since someone clued me in to who Conservative's inane message-pages were directed at.--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 18:37, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- Hey, your treatment over at CP was difficult to believe, even fully knowing the Sysops there. I hope you'll stay with us - many of us started there with the sincere aim of improving and helping, only to be treated badly and eventually banhammered.(Editor at) CP:no intelligence allowed 18:48, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- Well put, E@CP! And welcome to RW, Tom! Glad to have you here, and sorry about your CP experience. Ed really, really seems to hate you. --Sid 18:50, 2 June 2008 (EDT)

Before you post anything but here, I want a full writing plan from you. No excuses. SHahB 18:52, 2 June 2008 (EDT)

What??? Not another quoter of Latin!!! There can be only one... Lyra § talk 20:03, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
- Its origin is lost, but it is attributed to Cicero or Caesar's father-in-law, alternately. It was quoted by Lord Mansfield in his decision on the Somerset case which abolished slavery in England.--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 20:05, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
Back to the fight for reason. Going to resume my policy. Thanks guys :)--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 16:07, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- I don't understand why you go back there (I hope you don't seriously expect the abuse to stop...), but I wish you good luck. We'll be here when you need to bash your head against the wall again ;) --Sid 16:13, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- Congrats! And good luck. (Editor at) CP:no intelligence allowed 16:15, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
Bit of a rude question, but...[edit]
Joaquin listed a "history of blocking" as part of the reason you were blocked this latest time. What were you blocked for prior to the one-day block over the Karajou mess? 67.170.155.176 21:43, 5 June 2008 (EDT) I'm not TomMoore but I think I can translate the block reasons:
- 00:59, 15 March 2008 DeanS (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 1 day (MYOB)
- Crocodile was being an asshole to another user, TomMoore stood up for him thus qualified as an enemy combatant.
- 14:43, 13 April 2008 Ed Poor (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of infinite (personal remarks)
- TomMoore pointed out how something Ed Poor edited was wrong, which count as "personal" for some reason.
- 16:39, 16 April 2008 Ed Poor (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 1 week (wasting time)
- Bah, I knew this one.
- 15:03, 28 April 2008 Ed Poor (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 1 week (departing from assigned writing plan)
- Ed made a vague retort where he asks for a writing plan/gives a writing assigment, TomMoore asks him what the fuck he's talking about or protests it, thus "departing" from it.
- 14:54, 6 May 2008 DeanS (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 2 weeks (MYOB + troublemaker history)
- See above.
- 17:45, 20 May 2008 Ed Poor (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 1 week (personal remarks)
- See above.
- 14:05, 30 May 2008 Learn together (Talk | contribs) blocked "TomMoore (contribs)" with an expiry time of 1 day (Comments made when Karajou decided not to block, inappropriate baiting)
- Implying that Karajou may have been wrong and learned a lesson.
NightFlareSpeak, mortal 21:56, 5 June 2008 (EDT)
- Yup, that's pretty much it.--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 21:14, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
I keep forgetting that you actually exist here![edit]
I applaud you for actually lasting that long against the Tag Team of Fail that is JM/LT. Major kudos! --Sid 21:12, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
- I shouldn't have lost my temper, but hey, a guy can only take so much. I wasn't going to be their doormat forever.--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 21:13, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
- I really don't blame you. You encountered an exceptionally idiotic combination of people to "discuss" with. If it helps: You losing your temper only changed the timing, but not the outcome. JM and LT love the "sysops are always right, even when they are wrong" rule, so your quest was doomed the moment JM reverted you for the first time. To date, I can think of only one case where JM had to retreat, and that was when (irony) another sysop arbitrarily stepped in to implement his view (case: "Painting" article and an image of Christo's installation art, see the talk page for a very familiar sight). Another thought: JM probably has zero actual experience in the field of art. He just picks a topic and creates articles by copy-pasting randomly (sometimes with light rephrasing). Next month, he will possibly be an expert in stamp collecting. --Sid 21:22, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
- Is it wrong to think he is just a raging moron? I mean, what is there to editing an online encyclopedia other than being good with the language it's written in?--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 21:54, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
- Don't worry, your membership card and free shirt are already in the mail. JM has a reputation of being an idiotic jerk with a poor grasp of the project's language, though his bursts of idiocy are usually more subtle than Andy's or TerryH's (though that's not terribly hard) and usually happen on obscure talk pages (like the "Painting" one). --Sid 22:02, 18 June 2008 (EDT)

Welcome back to reality, Tom. --SpinyNorman 13:31, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks. It will be a relief to be able to speak my mind wholly again without fear of disrupting something in progress. Not a day passed without me noticing a new username that was a subtle pun or referent (there's a "Dr. Richard Paley" posting right now!)--Tom Moorefiat justitia ruat coelum 14:23, 19 June 2008 (EDT)
Congratulations[edit]
